The game is in Chicago and the Bears have been playing pretty good as of late. The defense is getting pressure and Kerry Collins isn't going to know what hit him. I think the Bears have a legitimate shot at knocking off the Titans.

Rex Grossman I dare you to employ your "fuck it I'm going deep mentality" the secondary will sit all over that mess and have about 4 picks

Kyle Orton you're going to try to play hobbled? Big Al will hurt you worse, just sit it out buddy.

        Johnson>Forte

That RB Draw is going to rape yall should you employ that deep defense.

            Titans homers left and right.

It's as simple as this: Rex plays, Bears lose. Orton plays, Bears win.

Anyone who says Johnson is better than Forte is clearly mistaken. I have Johnson on my fantasy team, and he is a stud, no doubt. But what makes him so effective is the fact that they give him so many breaks. Wait until Lendale wants to move on and become a feature back somewhere else. That makes Chris Johnson take about 15 more hits a game. His YPC and YAC will decline, and he will be much less effective. Think Reggie Bush. When Deuce is loose, Reggie is much more effective. When Deuce is lost, so is Reggie. And that's the truth.

Forte takes many more touches than Johnson. He takes 21.1 hits a game rushing and 5-8 receiving. That's a LOT OF WORK. And his numbers still translate fairly well across the board. He's a bigger, stronger, and barely less elusive (than CJ) back, who gets more touches. Not to mention he's a top 5 back in the league (look it up)....and Titans homers wanna knock Forte?

Bottom line, Johnson is more of a situational back. Forte is an everydown guy who is the centerpiece of the offense. Look at situational Tim Hightower. By Titans' fans' logic, he would be the best Rookie RB if not the best in the league. He has more TDs and better YPC ...

Let's do a few statistical splits here:

              Johnson (rushing):
              Attempts 1-Through-10: 80 ATT 425 YDS 5.3 AVG 51 LNG 2 TDS

              Attempts 11-Through-20: 62 ATT 265 YDS 4.3 AVG 66 LNG 3 TDS

              Attempts 21-Through-30: 4 ATT 25 YDS 6.2 AVG 14 LNG 0 TDS

              Forte (rushing):

              Attempts 1-Through-10: 80 ATT 310 YDS 3.9 AVG 50 LNG 1 TD

              Attempts 11-Through-20: 74 ATT 277 YDS 3.7 AVG 20 LNG 3 TD

              Attempts 21-Through-30: 15 ATT 54 YDS 3.6 AVG 9 LNG 0 TD

Now lets look at the situations. Forte is taking carries 11-20 by the end of the first half into the middle of the 4th quarter. He is the feature back. Everyone on defense knows he's getting the rock one way or another. Yet, while taking hits every down, he's keeping his consistancy, and running downhill. Now, when Johnson gets carries 11-20, he is much much MUCH more fresh than the defense he is playing against. For one, he doesn't take ground n pound carries in the first half. So Chris Johnson is carrying the rock in the mid 3rd for his 11th carry, against a defense that had already been out there for pretty much the entire game.

BUT, tell me why Chris Johnson....who is much more fresh compared to the defense he faces, declines by over a yard and a half per carry in the 2nd half of football games? And please tell me why Matt Forte, who gets more touches against his opponents in the first half of games (and second half)...tell me why his number go UP by half a yard per carry. This is where I make my point. Johnson can not ever be a feature back. He is a faster/more elusive form of Reggie Bush that will have good games. But just as Reggie Bush does, Chris Johnson can easily disappear. He's done it more than once this season. Forte, who labors more in the first half by FAR, increases his numbers. While Johnson who takes a carry or two then rests for 2 while Lendale takes a couple SHOULD have better numbers (which he does). But his better numbers are earned in the first half performance. His 2nd half (when games are won) statistics are a joke when compared to Forte. He's way too inconsistant.

                we'll see Sunday

Johnson is a situational back? Nice... a situational back led the NCAA in yards last year. Its also CJ's fault that the Bears have no depth at RB and have to rely on one guy. The NFL is based on two back systems now, one back systems are doomed to fail because the guy takes too much damage. There are about 3 legitimate 1 back systems in the NFL.

Forte barely less elusive than the FASTEST PLAYER EVER TIMED IN THE NFL DRAFT COMBINE?? (im talking electrically timed, not Bo jackson's "handtimed" 4.1, which was laughable)
A guy who barely finished Second to Walter Dix in the state 100M dash his senior year, yeah the same Walter Dix who just finished with a bronze medal in the Olympics.

edit: yes im hating on Forte because he was rated 82 to start the madden year over CJ and others who were drafted higher, lol

Forte is a good back, id just rather have CJ

saying johnson is a situational back is about as bright as sayin that al davis is nominated for owner of the year. nice job tyring to call out the homer's though, how long did it take you to get all that stuff together?

                    It's game day ladies.

Either way, win or lose, this is going to be a good game. I really want the Bears to pull this one out.

Compared to his NCAA team, he is situational. And please don't be a know it all. We all know that you had to wikipedia Chris Johnson to find information....He went to ECU, and I doubt you are a Purple Pirate fan.

If speed was the measure of the NFL, Usain Bolt would be one hell of a runningback. Bottom line, he's only good when Lendale is softening the middle of the DL. He's a good third down back...He has to have a strong back that blows up the middle for him, because it's obvious he can't do it himself.
