Cutler will obviously have good stats when the coach lets him throw the ball 40 times every game. But I will always remember Cutler for the back to back seasons where Denver collapsed and missed the playoffs because they lost there last game of both seasons. Talk about choke.

you seemed to break it up too much, and show an incredible amount of homerism towards Cutler. He is in no way shape or form clearly better, or had the better career for that matter.
Flat out, Vince is a winner, his stats will never be great, nobody ever said they would be, but he's won consistently he's I believe 23-13.
Vince Throws an INT on 3.8% of his passes, Cutler 3.5%. Not a big difference at all, and seeing Vince has a much better W/L I'd give him the edge. They both are ugly to watch the majority of the time, but VY does get it done.
Vince Taking over an 0-6 team, finishing 8-2 and almost bringing them back to the playoffs is greater then anything Cutler will ever do. Sorry Chicago fans.Comment

In the last month of 2007 he threw 7td-4Int's and didn't play all thet badly.
Bottom line is the guy is still only 26/27 years old. So saying something VY did last year will be bigger than anythign Cutler will ever do is a pretty large stretch....Especially with Martz in town now.Comment

Vince took over and they won. That's not debatable, that's fact. Whether he was just lucky to be in the position to look like he did something or whether he was actually the key cog in the machine is up for debate... by some.
I think Vince is why they finished 8-8 instead of 0-6.
And, ya, in the article there was a tad bias toward Cutler. It wasn't quite as critical of him. Statistically, he's basically better than the other two, but his general bitch-assness and reputation as a baby weren't even addressed...
Though I also can't recall if you addressed Leinart's devil-may-care partyboy attitude.
You did, however, mention Vince's faults to some extent, so now I'm conflicted...
ANYWAY, I still think it was well-written for the most part.Comment

I'm not sure Cutler can be the one to blame for that defense giving up almost 40PPG over the last three games of 2008.

I wouldnt want Martz worrying about both sides of the ball at this point, but I still trust him to draw up one mean offense to defend against.Comment

Regardless of his time in Detroit, he is far from a shitty O/C.Comment

He only had them around 16th or so in total offense. Better than two years previous when they were around 28th or so.Comment

In 2006, his first season, the passing game improved considerably, ranking 7th overall behind quarterback Jon Kitna, who had his first 4,000-yard season at age 34
7th in Passing not total O. I knew I remembered 7th for some reasonComment

I think its too early to compare the three guys. Leinart had been stuck behind Kurt Warner, so I don't know how people can pass judgment on him. And I really don't think Young had the highest expectations of the three coming out of college...I know a lot was made of Young's questionable passing skills. I think Cutler has accomplished the most of the group, for whatever thats worth.Comment
