He honestly is looking in really good shape. A report was out that he lost 32 pounds.

        Probably still injury prone.

If I was 330 pounds I wouldn't want to workout in blazing heat wether it was a 3-4 system or not.

Im kind of confused by this.. dont they want the guy to play NT now? Wouldnt it make sense for him to bulk up more, not slim down? Dudes looking like a DE right now.

Is it possible Haynesworth slimmed down to avoid playing NT?

That's the theory being tossed around right now. Essentially forcing the Skins to play him at 3-4 DE.

I think the plan was to move him to 3-4 DE all along. I remember the Redskins signed someone big to play NT.

Haynesworth should just play the Haloti Ngata role, shut the fuck up and earn his dollars.

JH is correct. The Redskins didn't sign Ma'ake Kemoeatu to be a backup.

No haynesworth was demanding to play the DE spot so the Redskins finally caved an gave it to him. He doesn't like NT because "there's no stats that come with that position." He wants to be able to dance over the QB.

Again, biased news. The Redskins officially came out that they were going to the 3-4 around the combine, so early March roughly. They signed Kemo March 10th, who was obviously going to be a NT. Haynesworth holdout started in... June.

Haynesworth was never going to be the NT, so him slimming down to 320 or so isn't that big of a problem. The bigger problem is asking a guy who loves to try and make plays to just occupy blockers. The Lions got rid of Rogers for that reason and the Browns are trying to control Rogers in the same way, but it just doesn't happen. How are you going to tell a guy who just tackled a guy for a 2 yard loss that he technically was playing wrong?
