[ALL SPORTS] Teams You Kinda Sorta Root For

Posted this in the NFL section cause its most active but It is for all sports.

What are the teams you would put as your second team in sports? You know say your team is already out of it, which team do you turn to root for. Who are those teams you kinda like but dont really follow?

NFL
Seahawks because of Golden Tate

MLB
Mariners because of Griffey Jr
Yankees because my parents are fans

NBA
Lakers because of Kobe Bryant

NCAA Football
Oregon because I was gonna go there.
Vandy because its a cool hometown team.

Los Angeles Kings because of Jonathon Quick, he's from my home town

NBA: Spurs, I'm a Warriors fan and I hate the Lakers, just hate em...come playoff time, the Warriors weren't ever really in a spot to stick it to the Lakers, but the Spurs were, they were my playoff team for years.
MLB: Yankees, way back when I was in little league, I was on the Yankees for 3 outta 4 years in a row...96, 98, 99. In 97 I was on the Marlins, 95 the Braves

NBA: Blazers/Hawks

I usually just follow certain players, not really the team. And it's mostly guys from my area or the state of Texas.

Ravens and Eagles, and surprisingly the Cowboys, mostly because of certain players on the teams.

NBA:

Always root for the Celtics when they aren't playing the Heat, like this past season in the playoffs after they beat my team.

College Sports:

I root for a bunch of different teams, but the Canes are my number 1. LSU, Oregon, any Florida based team, and URI Rams are all teams I watch a lot

I can't root for any other team than the one I am a fan of .. players sure, but I am indifferent to any teams besides the Colts and Pacers.

I root for several to lose, however.

NFL: If my team is out of it, I always root for anybody in the NFC North.

NBA: Dallas Mavericks

NFL: Buffalo Bills - they're my childhood team.
NBA: Phoenix Suns - Steve Nash
NHL: Minnesota Wild - I just like the state and its hockey tradition.
MLB: Philadelphia Phillies - Just because I'm an Eagles' fan and want to see a Philly team do well. The Montreal Expos were my team, I've tried to move on to the Toronto Blue Jays out of a sense of patriotism, but it's just not the same.

NFL: If my team is out of it, I always root for anybody in the NFC North.

I would never cheer for any other team in the NFC East. That's heresy.
Mind you, the NFC North has the lovable Bears and Packers and the lonely loser Lions.
All those teams are preferable to the Cowgirls, Foreskins and Giants (can't think of a nickname).

Actually, now that I think about it, I'd like Donovan McNabb to succeed in Washington for all but two games a season - or if it impacts the Birds. I will always respect McNabb, though my damn jersey seems kinda pointless now. I shoulda bought the Dawkins jersey.

This isn't the teams you declare your fanhood for. But instead teams that you like but don't really follow. So like I am a huge ND fan, but I enjoy watching Oregon play when I get the chance.

I enjoy watching a lot of teams play .. doesn't mean I care if they win or lose.

NFL: I'm just a fan of the NFL in general.

NHL: Besides Chicago, any of the original 6.

NBA: Phoenix Suns for Nash.

MLB: Not really anyone I can think of. The Cubs maybe for their history.
