Hardly knew the offense? He had been with the team and saw action in every game up until that point..if you dont know the offense by the halfway point in a season you probably shouldnt be on the field.
So seeing action means you know the PB? Every single time he was in the game it was a run..

Im fairly certain at the beginning of the season you get a playbook to read. Im also sure that he was used in practice. Soooo, yea he should know the playbook.

LOL at you guys saying that a true freshman QB knows the playbook.

I'm sure he knew some packages, but the whole playbook? Come on..

So the QB that was in front of him, also a true freshman, can use the same excuse right?

What Buck also failed to mention is that Denard led the team on a scoring drive the drive before the interception, so he knew the playbook enough to do that....yet on a simple pass play he cant differentiate between Michigan White and Iowa Black...makes sense.

The learning curve for every QB is different. If you honestly think a kid fresh out of highschool will know the entire playbook within his freshman year your mistaken.

You are missing the point, the QB in front of him was also a true freshman QB straight out of high school. And at least he could throw to the right guys from time to time.

for 1. Tate Forcier enrolled in the spring which gave him a jump start on the playbook. Robinson enrolled in the fall.

Tate enrolled early if i'm not mistaken, which means he got to do spring practice with the team. He was wayyy ahead of Denard in that respect, if you don't realize that then I don't know what to say to you.

And like I said earlier, the learning curve for every QB is different.

Alright, so Tate had a jump on the playbook thats why he was starting. Dont you think though that if you are going to be seeing game action, you should probably know at least half the playbook?

Yes Tate was further along then Denard, which makes the decision to bring Denard into the Iowa game even dumber. You bench your starting QB that has at least shown the ability to lead his team back, for a QB that apparently according to Buck does not know the playbook?

Like I said earlier, he probably knew some packages that were specific to him but to think he knew most of the playbook is probably a stretch.

Well that's on RR not really on Denard.

Michigan should start Freshman Devin Gardner.

Do you really think, that with his hot seat already near boiling as it is, RR would put in a QB who didn't know the playbook?

Let me be clear here, by saying he knew the playbook, I'm not saying he knew the whole damn thing, but he knew what they were running (RR said they were only running 30-35% of it when Tate was in there).

I'll say it now, go ahead and quote me. Denard Robinson is a shitty quarterback. He can't read a defense to save his life. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if he was standing right in front it. Michigan fans are raving about his performance against their defenses in practice and a glorified scrimmage, newsflash: the past 2 Michigan defenses have the 2 single worst in Michigan history.

With the game tomorrow, I think this is a good time to bump this back up.

Really have no idea how that game will turn out for youz guys tomorrow. Part of me thinks Rich Rod has been feeling the pressure and he'ss gonna light some fire in Michigan and they'll be gangbusters and all that. But the other half thinks UConn is an intriguing pick, I gotta say.
