Weren't Rams fans bashing the fact that Spags NEVER had enough WRs on the roster last season? Now he looks like he is trying to get a veteran WR who still has some game and its "God, what is he thinking?"

Does it really matter? You might get a couple more wins out of it. Its not like he is going to ruin your Super Bowl caliber team's chemistry.

The Rams had plenty of WR's on the roster, the problem was Spags would only suit up 4, sometimes 3, per game. Someone would inevitably get hurt, and they would play the rest of the game with 2 WR's like a pop warner team.

It does matter that they sign this clown, because his influence can only be negative, and he would take reps from one the younger guys. Plus he isn't any good anyway.

        Are you refering to T.O?

If so that isnt true. T.O still has it. He was a deep threat, and playmaker for a bills team that finished 30th in passing offense. God knows who his qbs are. lol fitzpatrick who came over from cincy as a backup....and concussion case edwards. And that make shift wall they call an o line? Yeah. He finished with 55 catches 829 yards 5 tds averaging 15.1 yards per catch. Off the top of my head his yards per catch is top 20 in the league. He had 5 catches of 40+ yards, which is 5 shy of the nfl leader in desean jackson. If you ask me, he still has 2 years left in the tank considering his work ethic and practice habits. He could spend that time building up his hall of fame career and mentoring the young rams receiving core which has alot of potential. his impact should be similar to what holts was on the arrival of mike walker. Avery is already on the map, you have laurent robinson who once shined as a falcon, brandon gibson who made noise during eagles training camp and was touted as special by just about everyone who saw him at work, amendula who can work the slot, kennen burton who i always liked since coming out of kentucky, and a poor mans desean jackson in Marty Gilyard.

I never was a full believer in t.o being a teamwrecker thing. Every since he left Philly the man has matured. His locker room actions should no longer be in question, and the least he can do is teach some veteran savvy to one of the few bright spots of the rams roster. In the end, id say hes a welcome addition. Stop watching espn..dont believe the media hype

T.O. will give them at least 3 wins this year... as a decoy so Stephen Jackson and Co. can get the ball.

Owens will do better under a dome versus playing on an ice block during Home Games.

Depends entirely on whether or not he can show any maturity. He's not going to elevate them to a Super Bowl contender, but I think he's got gas left in the tank.

TO is the absolute LAST player, ever, i'd want mentoring young players. Comparing him to a classy, selfless, true pro like Torry Holt is beyond ridiculous, and highly insulting to Holt.

Speaking of which, if Spagnuolo wanted a veteran mentor to tudor young WR's, he shouldnt have run off Holt last year.

I'm well aware of who the Rams have at WR, and yes, they are young & pretty good. Which is exactly why bringing in a 36 year old team killer, who is clearly on the decline, makes no sense. It eats a roster spot, and takes snaps from younger, fresher legs.

He accused Romo of drawing up plays in the sand for Witten, and cried about not getting enough balls. Two seasons ago. After he left Philly.

So one year of finally keeping his mouth shut, and an entire career of running himself out of every lockeroom he's ever been in, and throwing just abot every QB he ever played with under the bus, should be forgotten? GTFO. The guy is a mental case.

Let him be a welcome addition in Cincy, where their spineless coach has no control of the lockeroom, the team welcomes felons, and other idiot headcases like Chad Johnson can swap stupid TD celebration ideas with him. I want no part of that fool in STL, it's a move that makes zero sense.

It's mind blowing how "TO" and words like "mentor" and "veteran savvy" are being used in the same paragraph. Have you guys watched the NFL the last decade?

Im pretty sure if you are bringing in a Rookie QB, TO is the last guy you want on your team. He has gone after almost every QB he has played for, you really want him going after your Rookie QB because he isnt looking his way enough? No thanks.

And yet Cincy made the playoffs last year and you finished in dead last. Maybe you can learn a few things from that "spineless" coach.

If you guys haven't noticed W2B doesn't like T.O. But that's been the case since the days of MM. lol

for maddens its a good move but right now like warner is saying its going to take reps away from the "potential" (god I hate that word) our young wrs have especially since even with to we would probably only win 0-1 extra game

however i've quit hoping rams management would do the right thing since 2008 when they let linehan get another shot
                        RIP

I'm pretty sure W2B hates Spagnolou.

I wonder who does W2B hate more, Terrell Owens or Alistair Overeem?

Pretty much. I don't think that Owens is washed up and could still be productive, but allowing him to even come close to a rookie QB that is supposed to be your franchise guy is a bad investment. His history with QBs is too strong to ignore.

I don't see it happening. Why would T.O. come to a team that has a rookie QB and virtually no chance of winning a Super Bowl? I could probably stomach the move if T.O. is signed for one year at less than what he was making last year, but that's probably unlikely. I can't stand T.O., however, I'll admit, it would at least make the Rams some what interesting.

Marvin Lewis has had something like two winning seasons and two playoff appearances in 7 or 8 seasonss. The biggest mystery in the NFL is how he's managed to keep his job all these years with what amounts to zero success.

TO is a perfect fit for that dysfunctional, out of control orginization.

Edit-I looked it up, Lewis has two winning seasons and zero playoff wins in seven seasons., and that team constantly underachieves. To me, its in large part due to the garbage in the lockeroom they always seem to have. He's an awful coach regardless.
