exactly. lol at making williams look bad. bryant is wrong. pay your dues..you are a fucking rookie. you havent proved shit as an nfl player. but because roy williams says something..its his fault. wtf. but if it was romo or witten saying something...bryant would be in the wrong. Mfers do this every time in nfl lockers. Its been shown on every hard knocks inside training camp known to man. For bryant to act like hes the next best thing since slice bread shows his character and immaturity issues. smh

I'm pretty surprised at the Williams bashing going on here.
Bryant is a rook, carry the pads, pick up the tabs, get your silly haircut, etc and STFU about it. Some ego on this guy, thinking he's above it. Not a good sign from a punk rookie who hasnt played a single down.Comment

I agree with you guys. My only problem with Williams is not keeping it in house. The entire team would have most definitely been turned off by Bryant's refusal. Williams didn't help out by going to the media. If he had just kept it in the locker room then it would have been something only the team noticed. Now Williams has gone out of his way to make Bryant look bad. I think it's childish.
Why even do that? He should have just been the bigger man and kept his mouth shut instead of bringing it to the media's attention. Why even talk to the media about it? I just don't see anything good coming out of it.
Say this same exact thing has happened at other camps. I'm sure it has before at some point. I doubt Dez Bryant is the first rookie in the history of football to refuse a hazing. It's probably happened before and we just never heard about it because it's not a big deal and something you go to the media about.Last edited by Tailback U; 07-26-2010, 01:40 AM.Comment

In all likelihood, he was asked about it by the media (who no doubt noticed Bryant's refusals) and Roy obliged them with an answer. Having been around Roy when he was at Texas, he's a pretty fun-loving guy who jokes around quite a bit, so I doubt his comments were entirely serious (or at least serious in a joking manner).
Either way, Bryant is already acting like a primadonna, which he was known for at Okie State. Let's hope he isn't another TO in the locker room.
EDIT: The biggest issue to me is that this made the front page of ESPN today. Who the fuck cares? ESPN should just bomb the establishment, make a fucking deal with TMZ to aggregate sports gossip, and move on with actual sports news.Last edited by BrntO4Life; 07-26-2010, 02:40 AM.Comment

You talk about it like Roy ran over to the press and start blathering on about it.

I've never in my life heard so much misinformation about a player coming into the league as I have Dez Bryant.

You don't remember Roy Williams the Safety? The intel I received about Roy Williams when he came into the league was that Williams was going to be even better than Steve Atwater and Ronnie Lott.Comment

He should have made a bet with him...I'll carry your pads and as soon as I take your job, you carry mine for the rest of the season. Roy trying to show up Dez because he knows his job is in trouble.Comment

We'll find out. Definitely going to find out," Williams said. "I don't know. I've seen guys take people's credit cards and go fill up their cards and wife's cards and everything. There's a lot of dirt that goes on in that locker room."
Bryant, a Lufkin, Texas, native who went to Oklahoma State, has become an immediate fan favorite

I dont get why people are praising Dez for this? Every rookie does that shit, what the fuck makes him so special that he doesnt have to do the shit all the rookies do? Shows a giant ego to me, fuck that "focused on the game" shit.. more like focused on not being "punked" and thinking hes already above rookie status.Comment
