I'm just gonna leave this right here..........

The Cowboys have confirmed that Dez Bryant has suffered a high right ankle sprain and will miss 4-6 weeks.

A player is generally placed into a protective boot to help reduce the swelling. A high ankle sprain involved the ligaments above the ankle that hold the tibia and fibula together.

If Bryant misses four weeks he could return for the Sept. 2 preseason finale vs. Miami. If the injury drags out to six weeks he could miss the regular-season opener Sept. 12 at Washington.

Last year, safety Ken Hamlin suffered a high right ankle sprain and missed four games. In general a player could miss 2-6 weeks with the injury depending on the severity.

Bryant was in obvious pain after he got tangled up with Orlando Scandrick. He attempted to walk off by himself but needed to be helped by athletic trainers Jim Maurer and Britt Brown.

At the rookie mini-camp after the draft, Bryant suffered a minor ankle injury that kept him out of running post-practice sprints. He also missed part of the organized team activities with a strained hamstring.

Time to start grabbing those pads, Dez.

                Shit happens.

Season starts in 6 weeks. Just enough time to heal up.

Shouldn't be overblown, but these injuries are a cause for concern. He needs to make sure he's 100% right before he returns or this could be something that lingers throughout the entire season.

Yeah if it's a high ankle sprain then it's definitely no joke. Those injuries tend to linger all year

Call TO, get the hyperbaric chamber.

Yet another story for ESPN to drum up.

If you've read his book you'd know T.O. is a "hero" for coming back from that injury

Stuff happens, you can make the karma arguments which i definitely wouldnt argue with. Boys fans he came into camp in shape right? I havent heard anything otherwise, hopefully he can play through the little things if he heals up from this.

I know one thing though, Roy Williams its time to earn your keep whether this kid carries your pads or not.

Yeah turf toe was one of the reasons that Deion retired.
