Hankerson is a self-made prospect. He was a bum three seasons ago, but worked HARD in the off-seasons with Mark Duper working on the little things...route running and body positioning and all of those things that scouts don't talk about. It made him one of college football's elite. Before this past season, I thought he was a 2nd round type, and I said (albeit on another forum) that Hankerson needed to show me he can DOMINATE and he did. Clemson game. Georgia Tech game.

He became a good wide out...Miami just sucks and had QB issues this year so it is tough to see.

    6'3" 210+ runs a 4.5. Great intangibles.

I think he may be one of the more pro ready wide outs next year. He just knows how to prepare.

Jeffrey is a monster, too...Brandon Marshall like.

Christian French 4* from Cedar Rapids, IA is supposed to be choosing today.

His finalists are: Notre Dame, Oregon, and Iowa.

He'd be a really nice get for us. Apparently we are recruiting him as a WR. Hopefully Chuck Martin and Brian Kelly can land him for us!

      Here's Rivals Profile.

French is a huge get, if he chooses us. Second behind Ishaq for me in people we need to get. Apparently Oregon is really in the running and it is just Iowa and ND.

And on Rivals they say ND wants him at LB or Safety, while Iowa is lookin for him at WR. He only has been playing football for a short time so he wont start right away and will probably sit, so him at safety would be nice for me, if he can learn under Harrison and Jamoris/Zeke. Can you imagine a 6'6 safety?

With that WR at Iowa gettin busted it might lead to him playin at Iowa, but who wants to play at Iowa?

          French chose Oregon.

          Damn!

Would have been a nice piece as a pass rushing OLB or at WR/TE.

A 6'6 safety would have been a waste. All that kind of talk was honestly pretty stupid. IE was lit up with guys wanting him to play safety. But let's think about this. The kid is 6'6 200-210 right now. He's listed at 225 but there is no way that's even true. He's not even 225 soaking wet.

Playing it close to the vest he has another inch to grow so that'd be 6'7. His rail thin right now and has a big frame to grow into. The kid could put on 35-40 pounds and still look athletic and lean. At that point you're looking at a 6'6 245-255lb OLB/DE or tight end with his athleticism. That'd be flat out scary. Each of those sizes is too big for a safety or even a TE. When this kid graduates in 4-5 years and he's been on a training table and weight lifting regiment it wouldn't surprise me to see him in the 260-270 range and playing defensive end.

Ruffer might not be back next year unless he's on scholarship. If this isn't possible, I hope Tausch can fill in nicely. He did a good job before he was injured last season.

I guess the Ishaq visit went great. So great in fact that he has delayed/possibly canceled his visit to Penn State.

No Charges in the Seeburg case.....
Pertinent bits (most all but the footnotes)…

Our office has concluded its review of the investigation into the allegations made by Elizabeth See berg
concerning events occurring on August 31, 2010 and September 2, 2010 in S1.Joseph County,
                          Indiana.
The reports on this matter were prepared by Notre Dame Security Police Department (NDSPD), who
investigated the allegations made by Ms. See berg and presented these reports to our office on
                          November 17, 2010.
Together with deputy prosecutors from my office, we have reviewed the police reports and conducted
research into Indiana law on several issues raised by this investigation.
Further, we met with the parents of Elizabeth Seeberg and their attorney on December 1, 2010 and
discussed with them much of the contents of the investigation.
There were two separate allegations made by Ms. Seeberg against two separate individuals, both of
whom were students at the University of Notre Dame and one of which who was also an athlete.
First, there was the allegation of Sexual Batter/, specifically the touching of her breasts. Secondly,
there was a complaint about text messages received by Ms. Seeberg. She never made an allegation
of rape nor does the evidence even suggest a rape occurred as some media outlets have mistakenly
                          reported.
Our office has declined to file criminal charges against either of the two individuals named in this
investigation, and we decline to identify these individuals as they are not being charged with any
                          crimes.
The investigation by NDSPD included the collection of evidence and the statements of event
witnesses. This includes two statements from Ms. Seeberg, statements from the two suspects, and a
statement from a female friend, all of whom were present during the evening of August 31, 2010. Only
Ms. Seeberg and the student-athlete were present during the alleged battery. Conflicts exist among
the witnesses’ accounts of the events given to the police. Subpoenaed cell phone records are
inconsistent with parts of the complaint itself.
Police also recovered the text messages of September 2, 2010 between Ms. Seeberg and the student
who sent them. The content of the text messages sent does not rise to the level of a criminal act as
defined by Indiana’s Harassment statute. The student subjectively believed Ms. Seeberg’s complaint
was false and therefore he had a legitimate purpose for his text messages.
Our review of these two criminal allegations and our decision not to prosecute either of them is based
upon the evidence as well as the likelihood that Ms. Seeberg’s statements-as a consequence of her
untimely death on September 10, 2010-would be found inadmissible in a court of law because of
evidentiary rules involving hearsay and the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Crawford v. Washington,
                          541 U.S. 36 (2004).

Tuitt is currently visiting Auburn. Huggins missed the trip down.

Ishaq feels to me to be the number one guy to get. Him and Atkinson.

As long as those two sign I will be happy with the class. Oh and Im reppin the QB of the future in the avatar now.

Not to sound too crass, but the whole story felt like it was an attempt to gain public support in a potential suit from the parents. The Tribune also has a history of writing pieces slamming ND over the past few years.
