That's one school of thought. However the trade deadline in most leagues has already passed. I ended up with Brees as the 7th player taken in the draft but he's riding the bench behind Vick right now. My roster was strong enough that I really didn't need anybody so trading would have just helped out my opponents. If somebody is scoring on your bench and you are still winning, it has the same effect as taking 20+ points away from somebody else in your leagues score each week.

I watch the stats of Jennings and Driver very closely since they are both on my fantasy team and you are exactly right. Jennings will have the occasional huge game but but with the defensive attention that he gets, day in day out it is Driver that is producing catches and moving the chains.Originally posted by AaronSI understand why people think Jones or Nelson can be better than Driver... 2nd and 3rd rounders, respectively.. and Driver is, what, 35??.. but it sure hasn't happened for them as of yet.
.. this may finally be the year, but personally, I'm still betting the farm against it based on how underwhelming Nelson and Jones have been when Jennings and Driver have been healthy.
Week 1: 5 catches, 30 yards, TD
week 2: 4 catches, 38 yards, TD
week 3: 9 catches, 61 yards
week 4: 3 catches, 89 yards, TD
week 5: 4 catches, 58 yards
week 6: 3 catches, 31 yards
30 yards and a TD in the first two games and then in week 4 against detroit he had 3 catches, two of which were a 48 yard catch and a 29 yard TD. His 9 catch game was against Chicago where he caught 5 yard hitches all game.
Guy is averaging like 3-4 catches a game and around 35 yards and his role actually diminished when Finley went out. Jennings started to get more looks once Finley dropped and now with the quad issue, Driver's value has diminished even more.
Jones, on the other hand, has had two games with over 100 yards over the last 3 games. His value is going up, especially if Driver is hindered at all.
Don't get me wrong, Driver is still a great possession WR, but that's all he is pretty much. Similar to Hines Ward in Pittsburgh. Jones is more explosive and has more upside.Comment

What you should do is trade one of them to get value somewhere else on your team. At least that's what I did. I had Peyton Manning and Orton......Orton is producing as much as Manning, while Manning has more value, so I traded Manning for some runningback help. Think about it. Every week Vick and Rodgers are going to get you 20+ points (at least in my league), so you're leaving 20+ points on the bench...every week.
EDIT: And nvm, the trade deadline passed.

Yeah, I had shipped Orton and Vick to everyone in our league, and no one bite. Then I dropped Vick when the deadline passed.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Originally posted by AaronS.. as for Jones, I'm just not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. In his 3+ years as a Packer, he hasn't shown me anything that would lead me to believe he can be a starter in this League.Comment

NYJ D or Oak D? I have no clue which team to start...Pitt seems to go off against mediocre teams but Oak always seems to pull tons of points of out its ass...NYJ D has done mediocre for me this entire year...but who knows, especially if Schaub ends up reinjuring himself or if he ends up even going...never know the Texans.Comment

Collie might see a lot of action because Garcon can't hold on to the ball to save his life, and all week the local sports radio guys were talking about how he's pushing his way out of Mannings "circle of trust"
<==He makes amazing catch in my av. However, only a few series before that catch he dropped a pass right to him while he was standing still and no defender within 5 yards of him...

I'd go with Steve Johnson today.Comment

I have Tamme as my starting TE and I have a TE/WR flex spot where I can start any of these guys:
Donald Driver @ Minnesota
James Jones @ Minnesota
Dustin Keller Vs. HOU
I am leaning towards Keller since I have no idea how many snaps Driver will play.Comment

I saw what he did in my high rollers league and was glad I didn't play against him. Looks like I'm going to be 3-0 this week.
The funny thing is that a guy traded me Tom Brady and Rashard Mendenhall for Michael Vick in one of my leagues and we are playing each other today. I'm up 111.23 to 21.51 with Brady still rolling points and he has Bradshaw and Vick tonight.
Starting Vick in my other 2 leagues and am rolling before he even plays tonight :gold:Comment
