The Minnesota Vikings have acquired Miami Dolphins wide receiver Greg Camarillo in a trade that might also include a cornerback headed to South Florida, multiple sources confirmed Wednesday.

Camarillo was acquired to fill the receiving void created by Sidney Rice's hip surgery that will sideline him until midseason and the migraine problem affecting Percy Harvin.
Though the Vikings compensation was not immediately known, cornerback Benny Sapp could be a candidate for the trade. Sapp wasn't present as the Vikings hit the practice field Wednesday morning.
The 28-year-old Camarillo caught 105 passes over the past two seasons for the Dolphins. He works effectively out of the slot.

Well he needs a WR aside from Berrian to throw the ball to, so I would say he's involved a little and More like Childress needing the players since Rice is out for half the season and Harvin is still questionable for the longterm.

This trade fucking sucks. Camarillo is money. No complaining, sure handed, great 3rd down receiver. Hartline has taken that role so I guess they see him as expendable, but for Benny Sapp??? Benny Sapp fucking sucks, and this leads me to believe Will Allen may be going back on IR because he has reinjured his knee.

Why does everyone think Camarillo is great all of a sudden? He's a decent slot/possession sort of guy and will help the Vikings out. Once Rice comes back his role will be minimal as their 4th WR and then in 2011 he'll have 1 year left and maybe will be traded again, who knows.

Sapp has been a nickelback in the NFL probably since he came into the league and has been a decent one for a while. With Allen's injury this move makes a whole lot of sense. Just like Camarillo when Allen gets back to 100% he'll probably be relegated as the Dolphins 4th corner. Also, I definitely wouldn't say Sapp is shit.
