SI's Peter King says he'd be "surprised" if the Patriots, Colts, and Steelers don't consider signing free agent Fred Taylor.

Bill Belichick could see some Corey Dillon in Taylor, while the Colts may look to upgrade over Dominic Rhodes. The Steelers make the least sense; Taylor doesn't play on third downs and Rashard Mendenhall is returning.

I think Denver will go after Taylor. He could play well and they can get a capable running back for now then they won't need a running back when draft day comes so then they could draft Raji. I think there are plenty of backs in free agency and denver needs to go after one of them.

To be honest, that's what I thought right away - the Colts and Patriots. The Patriots could really use Taylor signing a cheap contract - they'd go far with him in the backfield.

I think the Colts signing Taylor depends on management's trust in Addai. We have Mike Hart returning, and we'll see what happens. I'd like to save the cap space however, and let him go to Houston, or KC, somewhere where he's really needed and reveled.

i dont see the colts going after taylor, he cant catch for shit. philly, pittsburgh and houston could all use a power cack that can get you 3 yards or a short 3rd or 4th down conversion. I personally dont see him coming to pittsburgh, 'we' have 4 backs already and we still dont know what mendenhall can do, also we have the fb davis that can get some tough yards.
