We got some nice guys in the secondary. Without Aso in week 17 vs the bucs they played pretty well. Of course the bucs aren't really a scary pass offense though.

Yeah, I'm glad he's gone. I was starting to get really tired of him.

Why do fans want a "name" so bad. He is past his prime and washed up, you know that when Baltimore fans are saying it. He is always injured. So why would you guys want to get rid of Nnamdi and Carlos Rodgers, just to get Chris Macalister?

I don't want to get rid of Nnamdi of course but the Raiders cap situation is terrible so i thought that we could get rid of Aso and sign Chris McCalister for less money that would help out the Raiders cap situation. He could play here for 2-3 seasons until we get someone better. I know Chris McAlister has missed 13 games in 2 years. 10 in 2008 and 3 in 2007. I wouldn't consider that to be always. Plus he is been good when healthy. He had 6 interceptions in 2007 in 13 games and 3 last year in 6 games. He is far from washed up. When he plays he gets about 1 interception every 2 games. Plus the Raiders have guys that can fill in for Chris McAlister in case of injury.

EDIT: If we lose Aso we should franchise him then trade him so we can get some compensation for him without if affecting our salary cap.

If we Let Aso go. I think our 2nd Round pick, We should be looking a corner. Jairus Byrd, out of Oregon. A big strong corner. Or Vanderbilt's D.J. Moore. He's a bit short but an explosive corner. Dont know Why we are talking about the D. We need to be worried about that Offensive line.

We need to keep our D stout.

As of now it is. But we need to protect our QB more.

Yea Big Ben made that offense. He can shrug off so many tacklers. Plus he actually had receivers.

well it is inevitable hell get injured again, he just wont be the same guy, you say he is good when healthy well he is never healthy, his last full season was in 2001 (he had one full season after that, cant remember when) so he is not a guy that will give you 16 games, i love the guy and will miss him but he is past it, his picks last year where off tips or massive hits (thanks ray ray lol) so he aint a hutdown guy anymore,

youd be wasting money, also i think he wants a ring so i doubt hed go to Oakland, they will win the west but not the Superbowl

Also why does evry forum have to be talking about the radiers lol

There were 3 seasons where he missed 1 game. Plus i don't care how he gets the interceptions. I just want my team to get the turnovers and with Chris that will happen.

Chris will be more of a disappointment than a help because hes old, he will most likely get hurt, and hes got a terrible attitude. His years will soon be over.

Chris McAlister = Duane Starks. Great corner drafted by the Ravens who got old and turned out/will turn out to be nothing when out of Baltimore. Ironically, Starks' career ended with Oakland.

Chris McAlister can't help anyone, especially not the Raiders. The interception stat is overrated. Chris McAlister didn't even get some of those INTs playing coverage. For instance:

That was Ray Lewis cracking the Kellen Winslow, Ed Reed being there to help knock the ball out, and Chris McAlister fortunately just being in the vicinity of the collision. He's not going to produce on his own, which is more than likely what he'll have to do in Oakland. Chris McAlister doesn't produce turnovers, that Ravens' D does. The last time he was ever good was 2006.
