Hawaii getting bullshitted by the refs

Hawaii played with some moxie, I like the QB a lot. Kiffin tried to get cute with the 2-pt conversions early, but ended up finding himself in a game by halftime. I was pretty shocked at the lack of pressure generated by the superior USC athletes on the front four, and how easily Hawaii moved the ball with the passing game.

If Boise survives VT, they still need to get through Oregon St & Hawaii, not to mention Fresno who always come to play. Its not the SEC, but people are shitting on a schedule that isn't as bad as it looks.

Both times that the Rainbow Warriors got "screwed" by the refs, the same shit happened: whoever had the ball at the time, hit the turf a yard before he broke the plain.

Both times their left elbow hit first.

If Hawaii knew how to play defense, this probably wouldn't be such an issue...

The play at the end of the first half was definately a TD.

Elbow hit before he was in. For football newbies the elbow hitting the ground is the same as a knee. That means they are down.

i didnt think his elbow hit. and if it did i didnt feel it was enough to overturn the TD call on the field. i may be mistaken as to the original call on the field.

i didnt see the play until the other over turned call in the 3rd...which was correct and obviously not a TD on that run play.

still, in this day of roughing calls and protecting from head hits, idk how they missed calling #17 for that devastating hit on the hawaii QB

Thanks for the heads up, this n00b has only been watching football since 1985.

Ball crossed before the elbow touched, it was a bad call.

It was a bad call, was very pleased with the effort, was worried we would get smoked.

it was a head shot....i doubt it was malicious on the USC players part, but still a head shot that would have been called, and fined if it was the nfl

It happaned so quick, and the USC player might not have intended the blow, but when a guy goes in with the shoulder shiver, without putting his arms out there to wrap up... it tends to not look clean, even though it could have been.

If it was the NFL he would have been probably fined after the fact. Moniz wasn;t going down or sliding, looked like he was about to cut it in, and the Morgan caught him with the shoulder.

Hawaii's 2nd and 3rd String QBs combined for 9 out of 13 for 190 yds and 2 TD, with an almost 70% passing percentage..lol. USC defense was just awful.

There's no way it did. You need to go back and watch it again.

To be honest their angles on replay sucked so bad, combined with Bob Davie just saying some weird weird stuff that made no sense, I had the sound on real low...lol.

The game itself was pretty exciting, but the production and commentary for that game was just really bad for whatever reason. Refs mics weren't working,,,but according to Bob Davie,,,"You never know what's going to happen on the islands". Dude what???? And he kept on saying it,,he said some really weird stuff.

LOL at arguing about calls in games that dont mean crap in the long run.

Any USC game is pointless for 2 years. And Hawaii will never improve past the June Jones era anyway.

That QB from Hawaii got knocked the fuck out. Great hit, great way to close the first night of college football
