how will the Cards do with DA?

When you have a legendary figure at QB (Kurt Warner,) you allow him to run his offense... and that's exactly what it was, his offense. If Arizona tries to run that offense with Derek Anderson, Matt Leinart, or even Matt Ryan - it's going to be a fail.

I agree with everything nuk said in his post.....but i have a soft spot for DA due to his time with cleveland. But he couldnt come close to even an average season after his 2007 season. He has a bigtime arm, but that didnt seem to matter when the 08 team was basically the same and he totally flopped as the QB. The quinn/da QB shuffle ddint help in 09 and now he is the man for the cards.

I hope he does well, but does anyone think he will have any real success as the man in Arizona? Due to the competition in the west, i think they could still win the west...probably at 8-8

what will the cards record be this year and will DA be the starter all year? Are the cards trying for a high 1st round pick in 2011?

From what I hear Derek Anderson might lose his starting job to Max Hall after the bye week. The Cardinals are gonna suck this season though.

Titanic-like drop off. They stink, they lost a lot more than Warner. Even without Warner the last two years, I don't think they were a playoff team.

I still think they could win the division, but that will take a complete turnaround from Anderson to make it happen.

Realistically, they max out at six wins.

I think we Max Hall starting at some point, and this means that Arizona might have to rely on the running game more than they want to. I see 5-7 wins.

Anderson will complete 60 yard bombs to Fitz all season long leading Arizona to a 10-6 record and him to his 2nd Pro Bowl, however they will lose in the NFC Divisional round to Green Bay who is coming fresh off their 1st round bye.

I see 6 wins at the most. Most likely 5-11 IMO.

It happened in his Madden Dyansty.

I had a friend who every year for five years would tell me that the Rams were going to cut Isaac Bruce, because it would always happen in Madden.

Seriously though, I think the Cards were surprised how bad Leinart really was, and were caught with thier pants down this season. It sure looks like a throwaway year, and the search for a QB begins now.

Anderson is assured to be a placeholder unless he just turns it on this year, Skelton is a bigger project than everyone initially thought, and while Whisenhunt has a massive crush on Max Hall I doubt he becomes a serious fixture long-term.

The Locker/Luck/Mallett sweepstakes is officially on.

Anderson has no touch on his passes, and even with Larry's ability to catch footballs upside down, Anderson will break his damn hands. Max will start the last 3 or so games with the season already out of reach, get beat to shit against the Cowboys and Niners, and we start looking at Mallett.
DA looked good in camp, and didn't have a bad preseason, but his lack of touch and accuracy is going to kill our receivers.
