I'm sure both schools have plenty of boosters who would be willing to donate for an upgrade.

I'd like to see the FBS capped at 120 teams though. There certainly are a few I'd send back down....looking at you Western Kentucky

Agreed. FIU could go, FAU could go (Schnellenberger just can't get it going like he did at Miami), and nobody even realizes WKU is in FBS.

let's just swap the Sun Belt for the 8 top FCS schools and call it even

If Crist can't come back after the half, I don't know what Brian Kelly can do to the offense given the QB situation. The defense giving up the big play is still killing them.

Just like the SEC the SoCon is a cut above the rest. Furman, Ga Southern and App. State would be first on the list.

There's solid strength in the Northeast though with UMass, Villanova, and Delaware though

I'd promote Richmond, JMU, Villanova, UMass, App State, Delaware, Furman, Montana

Those are the 8 I'd think of too, but Georgia Southern could do it as well.

Crazy talk is that UT San Antonio could jump straight to FBS in 2012 since they'll play in the Alamo Dome and have Larry Coker as head coach

By that same logic it wouldn't shock me if Georgia State makes a push by then as well. Especially if they play decently against Bama (like staying within 40 points).

UTSA supposedly has a spot waiting in the WAC if they join FBS. Georgia State doesn't have a conference lined up

I could UTSA in the FBS. Coker is a good coach, I can see him building up that program. 2012 seems pretty quick still.

2012 is their first year as a program too
