Outside of Pryor and the kick coverage units, OSU played great.

Pryor had a couple of nice throws and ran the ball well but overall his passes and decision making wasn't very good. He got lucky that Miami dropped a few easy INT's.

ND cannot afford to let Crist get injured again, or it'll be 2007 all over again. QB depth is beyond terrible right now.

I couldn't care less about betting lines. Those are set to get even bets on both sides.

There were far too many penalties, dropped passes, and turnovers. I won't go as far as to say no turnovers = Miami win, but the game certainly would have been different.

the point being, when someone is favored by more than a touchdown, you dont ignore it. Ignore it all you want, looking at odds is a better predictor of wins than any wannabe knowledgeable fan here or anywhere.

he is athletic, but those have been his problems since day one.

ND QBs suck. Outside of those 2 bombs Christ threw, he looked bad.

The offense looks a hell of a lot better with Crist than a walkon or a true frosh at QB. He does need to work on his accuracy. Some of those passes that were behind his receiver cost them drives. He also needs to put the ball in better areas to let his receivers make a play on the ball, particularly around the endzone. However, I think the latter will come with some experience.

O yea, considering this was his 2nd career start and was hurt, your not going to count it against him. Plenty of time to improve, but if ND plays a good D you can forget about winning this season.

I agree. There are plenty of areas where the offense as a whole can improve: Crist with his accuracy/decision making, o-line consistency, better route running, and catching/holding on to the ball, to name a few. However, I'm not expecting Brian Kelly to fix all of these issues in his first season. I realize that there are going to be bumps in the road, and the fact of the matter is that there is a lot of coaching to do with the current roster. I do expect to see improvement in these areas throughout year though.

Travis Baltz is the best overall kicker in the country. All ACC punter a few years back and now he's drilling 47 yard FGs with ease with Nick Ferrerra hurt.

Called a 17-21 point loss, should have been closer though.

I'm satisfied with the performance, for the most part. Robby Bolden looked good at times, overthrew a few guys, had a perfect ball dropped by Graham Zug that would have been a 20-yard gain, and had two picks that were forced because of pressure.

The three turnovers really killed us. Those would have at least been 9 points, giving us a very slight chance at the end. The run defense needs a lot of work though; LB core doesn't impress me too much.

And Kevin Newsome shouldn't have came in for Bolden at the end...keep playing the freshman and let him take his lumps.

e: Silas Redd needs more PT...he ran the ball pretty well against the first string Crimson Tide D.

K-State and Maryland both going 2-0. I'm liking it!
