Ryan Grant possibly being placed on IR

FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer reports Ryan Grant is done for the season with severe ankle and leg injuries.
Grant's high ankle sprain also resulted in a fracture near his knee. He's expected to be placed on injured reserve, turning the backfield over to Brandon Jackson and John Kuhn. Any waiver wire debate this week over, with Jackson now the no-brainer choice. Though he's been a picture of health until this week, Grant's Green Bay career is now at a crossroads. Turning 28 in December, Grant has escalators in his contract that the Packers likely won't want to pay in 2011. He'll have to restructure to stay on.

I'd be surprised if he's still available at this time, and if he is your league is full of fuds who don't pay attention.

Some leagues waivers don't clear till Wednesday morning, so you can still make a claim.

Trying to deter people from putting in waiver requests.

Picked up Jackson as soon as Grant went down with injury just in case. Grant is on my fantasy team.

We do auction style waivers so we'll have to see if my bid was high enough. Also submitted one for Mark Clayton. I'll be happy as long as I get at least one.

#2 in my league, dropping hightower for that guy.

Also have a $10 claim on him in my auction league. I may have to bump that up after today's news.

Smart to claim him on waivers if I release Thomas Jones?

I currently do not start Jones, I'm fairly deep at RB already

                          My starters are:
                          MJD
                          Jahvid Best
                          flex - Ronnie Brown

I'm 6th on the waivers list and our league is pretty quick on the mouse so I probably won't get him anyways. I'll find out at 11:59 i guess

i'd say so. TJ splits time, Jackson is likely the permanent feature back on a better offence.

Yea go for it.......you might get lucky. Jahvid may get hurt and you can use either ronnie brown or jackson, if you get him in place. I think jackson will be a better option to have than brown at that point.
