He shouldn't have to give it back, even though I think VY should have won it.

There are dozens of Heisman trophy winners that would throw it in the dumpster to get a Super Bowl ring.

        Reggie has his ring

Let him keep it, it's an individual award. Who cares? USC should have their wins vacated and all their championships removed, but Bush can keep his trophy for all I care.

At least he won't be another Heisman winner who doesn't live up to the hype in the NFL.

Last I heard, that did happen.

Don't give it to VY. If Bush was losing his Heisman due to steroids or other factors that influence the play ON THE FIELD then yeah but in the current situation Bush still earned that Heisman on the field regardless of what he did off the field.

They were probably going to take it away from him anyway.

It's unfortunate for Bush. Bush was one of the best college football players I had the privilege of watching in my entire life. He deserved the heisman because he was the best player in CFB that year, whether he has the trophy or not won't change that in my memory.

IMO the 2 best CFB players of the decade were Reggie Bush and VY, in that order. (No, I'm not forgetting Tim Tebow. He's a distant 3rd IMO)

Bush is one of the greatest players of all-time, and the same goes for VY. I've never seen another player consistently take over and dominate a game the way VY could, and I've never seen a CFB player as electrifying as Bush was when he got the ball in his hands. Everyone wants to compare whatever shifty speedy running back that comes out of HS to runningback that has an amazing youtube tape to Reggie, and wants to compare every tall black athletic QB to VY that comes out of HS with some hype... folks just need to realize there probably won't ever be another player like Reggie or VY.

Wasn't Joe McKnight supposed to be the next Reggie? See how off base that was.

Reggie and VY were both once a decade sorta players in CFB.

And now they are hyping up their new RB recruit Dillon Baxter as the next Reggie Bush... people just don't learn.

I still can't believe he gave it back, I would've made them bastids take it from me and not made their decision easier.....all the other players who won it and their programs did just as much dirt as USC but didn't get caught, are having a nice chuckle and polishing their heismans

Like somebody said tho, you can't erase what the man did to college football that year......and VY was a distant second in my mind, he should be ashamed of himself wanting the trophy lol

The Heisman Trust President was quoted as saying that the trophy will remain vacant.

The USC 2011 class has DeAnthony Thomas, who is also compared to Bush. I've watched the kid play a few times and he seems legit, but only time will tell if he's Bush like.

                                Nobody will be like Bush.

I remember thinking that USC would just reload after Bush/Leinart/Steve Smith/Jarrett etc.

No team has even come close talent wise. They had a backfield loaded with 5 star recruits in Stafon Johnson, CJ Gable, Emmanuel Moody, Allen Bradford, Joe McKnight etc., etc. None of those guys could carry Bush's jock.

Marc Tyler and Baxter look good, but they won't come close to Bush, either.

We're all really just starting to see how good Reggie Bush was. Nobody in all of college football has even come close to replicating his performances.

I actually watched his college and HS highlights on youtube a few weeks ago because I had forgotten how special he was. He was just unreal.
