The "new and improved'' Jay Cutler looked a lot like the old Jay Cutler to me at times.
Best bit of that article. Mostly because I shared the same thought.

I guess feel good about your 3-0 record, Bears fans. Because a win is a win.

On offense, both the Packers and Bears will apparently go as far as their passing games this season.
My money is on ours taking us further.

The Bears will never win a Super Bowl with Lovie Smith as a head coach though. Never..
Like Dick Vermeil said - hiring Mike Martz was the best thing Lovie's done since getting the job. But how long does this thing stay together? This was Lovie's last chance in Chicago - he either makes the postseason or he's gone. Now, with that said, let's say Chicago makes the playoffs, can you still get rid of Lovie Smith? I doubt it. Can Chicago convince Martz to stay, with head coaching spots probably opening up in 2011? It's hard to see Mike Martz staying second banana, even under Lovie Smith, one of his best friends. The players also love the guy, even the Bears defense has been praising Mike Martz. This would be a great situation if the roles were reversed - Martz at HC, Lovie at DC, because I find it hard to believe that Martz's ego will allow him to stay with Chicago. Mike Martz wouldn't even be with Chicago right now, if he had gotten the job he really wanted: Head Coach for Buffalo.

Of course, if Chicago fails to make the playoffs, none of it matters - the entire staff will be gone.

Regardless of the play of Jay Cutler people seem to be ignoring the fact that the Bears D has played pretty well so far this year. Both the run and pass D have been so far improved. Even Rodgers, who usually hooks up with 3 or 4 deep passes a game on us was stuck dinking and dunking all game. And i don't know if we've held Greg Jennings to so few yards and catches in years.

The false starts had more to do with those two tackles being scared of peppers than they did with the crowd noise. You notice they were only jumping on the side he was on. Unless he gets hurt, or they turn into pro-bowl linemen out of no where then you'll prob see alot of the same things next time they play.

Yeah crowd noise is not really an issue at Soldier Field. Ive commented several times this year about how QUIET the crowd is.. its really pretty sad considering the team is 3-0.

Nuk, when the hell did Martz put on all that weight? He's really let himself go.

How did I not notice this last week? Dude's a legit porker these days.

Cutler was average at best last night and got lucky several times.

Green Bay played an absolutely horrible game on defense. About as bad as they possibly could have, and Cutler went 16/27 for 221 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, and took 3 sacks.

I saw Clay Matthews get held about 3 times that would have resulted in 3 more sacks or 3 more picks and I saw the GB D lose 3 interceptions due to penalties.

No denying he is much better than last season and it is all due to Martz, but Cutler himself is not special.

I also think that teams will be much more prepared for the Bears scheme as the season goes on.

I admit that I hate Culter with a passion so I'm a bit biased.

The Bears D, on the other hand, looks pretty damn good and for real.

I'm a fan of Martz, and I think the Bears looked better last night than they have in the past couple years. That said, their offense was completely underwhelming last night. The difference of the game was the special teams. Hester scored 1 TD himself. He set up another TD, but the Martz offense once again failed to punch it in from the 1 yard line. The Bears blocked a FG by Crosby which ended up being the difference of the game. Cutler had two big INTs called back due to ridiculous penalties.

I guess your definition of ''overrated'' is different from mine.

I was told here at VSN by Chicago fans, that they wanted an OC that could turn their pathetic excuse for a passing offense into something repectable. They hired one of the best OCs in the game, and they're passing attack is currently ranked 6th. The scary part is, that offense is still learning Martz's system. I was also told that Chicago had a bad QB, bad WRs, bad O-line, and no running back - Yet, again, their passing attack is ranked 6th in the NFL - higher than both New Orleans and Houston.

If that's ''overrated,'' Chicago can probably still grab their old OC next season.

passing attack rank isnt really that impressive or worth being noticed after 3 games. And anyone and their mother can get lots of yards passing now. I'm not saying he is bad. its just too early to say anything that positive.

but he did throw right into the hands of Packers like 3 or 4 times....

                              5th in passing offense.

                              2 interceptions in 3 games.

                              QB rating of 109.

Pretty fucking impressive, if you ask me. But, yeah, Jay Cutler ''could have'' thrown more picks. Lulz. And Calvin Johnson could be averaging more yards than Danny Amendola - but he's not. Sucks for him.
