It is mostly about the post career Health Insurance. 3 years to be fully vested. But the NFL wants to add 2 more games. The NFL is saying we will add 1 more roster spot to the active roster and 2 more practice squad spots..creating more available spots and creating more NFL careers.

The players say you need to do more if you are adding 2 more games each year and expect most us to be in the league 3 full years.

I remember Howie Long on Fox said if they NFL wants to add more games, then they need to add 10 more roster spots, and each team has to have two bye weeks. Thus making it a '20 week' season. This either pushes the start to August, or the regular season into January, and playoffs are February. I'm sure fans won't have a problem with more football, but the injuries will go up.

And why would you pick a topic you know nothing about?
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

          "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

it is becasue a player fell in love with a volley ball player after only dating her for 3 months.

I tried to quote this in a different thread..i'm not sure which one though. Personally i think the league is fine how it is, but if they're going to expand the schedule, Howie's idea to me anyways, is ideal and would work.

Search ESPN for NFL lockout...you're bound to find some helpful articles that explain it. I'm too lazy to go over all of the points.

If there is a lockout I'm curious about how the draft would work. The upcoming draft would have players getting drafted but not playing so that means juniors would stay in school. Now if the lockout happens and there is no football how would the order of the 2012 draft go? Same order as the 2011 draft or does it become some random lottery type thing?
