Schefter is reporting that no contract extension has been discussed between Moss and the Vikings. Moss' contract will get discussed only after he is traded to Minnesota.

I completely understand the move by the Pats. Moss has been basically asking for a trade or an extension since the beginning of the season. Belicheck doesn't want to deal with this guy anymore. Brady just recently said he thinks he is only halfway through his career, so I bet he is ok with the move as well.

It's a smart move by the Patriots for the future but maybe not so much right now. That said, let's be real, they probably aren't winning the SB with that defense this year, anyway. I think they are a year away from getting that D in check and really making a run.

And I don't think the Pats would take Mark Ingram in the draft, PP As OOBL said, there are plenty of other backs that would fit their scheme much better that they could pick up later.

And here's my "Oh shit" moment.

We play Vikes next week. The next time we beat a team with Randy Moss on it will be the first time.

        :fear:

It's personal with Randy and the Cowboys.

Maybe if you drafted Moss instead of Greg Ellis though you wouldn't have that problem.

Hoping the guy we just drafted makes up for it.

If the Pats are willing to trade you a player.. Run. It probably means said player is goin to disappoint
                When will teams learn?

You would give up a Top 10-15 pick for Richard Seymour?

He's probably been the "least biggest bust" but.. I'd rather have the pick personally.

Deion Branch, Matt Cassel, Laurence Maroney, Mike Vrabel, Richard Seymour (for what Oakland gave up), Randy Moss, etc. The Patriots made off like bandits in all these deals.

Can't wait to see what poor team trades for Logan Mankins.
