it was a group celebration and he went to the ground... no matter how it happened that is the rule. witten and columbo both are idiots and selfish cunts for even thinking of doing this in such a close game. it all goes back to the lack of disipline and leadership on a team with stack with talent.

ps: fuck dallas. i hope they go 1-15.

Jenkins was def not my favorite player at all yesterday. He along with the rest of the team should do a million push ups. 14 penalties coming off the bye week? Come the fuck on. How does that even happen?

God dammit you fuckers can't read (I guess this is what I should expect from a Steelers fan though)

They were not flagged for a GROUP celebration. Columbo was flagged for EXCESSIVE celebration for falling and touching the ground. If he didn't fall, it would not have been a penalty. The penalty had nothing to do with him spiking the ball or Witten chest bumping him.

The two person celebration should be called and the falling down should be called according to NFL rules. Could have had two personal fouls.

LOL at a Packer fan coming in this thread.

and every Packer who jumps into the stands should be flagged for a penalty but that shit NEVER happens.

                Okay.

                He was still correctly penalized.

I had no opinion in my post at all. Someone is a little butt hurt the Cowboys are healthy and 1-3 I guess. Simmer down a bit dude, my post had nothing to do with me being a Packer fan. In fact, I thought it was krulmichael making that post and it was about the Lions. So you can kindly GTFO with your menstrual moodiness.

Curious though, where does it state the Lambeau Leap is excessive? Possibly because they are using the fans as a prop or what?

Your post came off like you were trying to say the Cowboys should have been called for 2 penalties. My fault if you weren't but that was how I read it. I also already said this was not the reason we lost and it certainly isn't the reason we are 1-3.

How is the Lambeau Leap not excessive? The players are essentially leaving the field of play to jump into the fans. It is something I don't get. Dallas will be called for a penalty such as they were called for but if Greg Jennings jumps into the stands and is there for 10 seconds, nothing is called. The refs and the NFL either has to call everything or nothing. There can't be that gray area.

They call everything in the rule book. The rules state a player can't fall to the ground and the rules also state more than one person can't be a part of the celebration. I don't like either rule, but it's the rules. I don't see where the Lambeau Leap falls into a rule violation. I can see where you are coming from, but it's just not a part of the rules from what I've seen. There is no gray area when it comes down to it.

My post wasn't meant to be cocky, I was just stating that it could have actually been two penalties. I complained in the Jared Allen thread about this new rule.

Yes, the thousands of NFL fans that bitch when the league does shit like fine players for penalties is info to support it. The NFL being tight ass on celebrations has nothing to do with fans, its all about trying to keep a clean image within the league. They think cutting out end zone celebrations is going to make people forget that majority of NFL players own a gun and also enjoy smoking weed.

Okay I really don't understand this penalty now. I watched Greg Jennings and Adrian Peterson both drop to their knees today without a penalty. What am I missing here?

Its just a judgement call I guess. When Miles Austin leaped over Roy Williams the ref that was RIGHT in front of them didnt think anything of it. Then, BAM, flag gets thrown in from the side.

Dallas loves rules around endzone celebrations. Hell, Emmitt had a rule changed. You can't take your helmet off on the field anymore since his stupid ass used to take off his helmet and run around like he did it all himself when he had 10 of the best other players in the league helping him get there.

Watch it again, that was the ref that flagged it.
