So does Aqib deserve the hate local media has been giving him? He wasn't covering Calvin the entire game, and he didn't have over the top help when he was suppose to... does that mean he isn't close to being a pro-bowl corner? The funny thing is of all the shitty play in the game Aqib is getting the most flack.

Thanks to POS "fans" like yourself and cheapskate owners. The turnout at the Lions game was fucking pitiful. Fans not coming out and filling up more than half the stadium during kickoff weekend for a 10 win team is atrocious. Couldnt believe what I saw. Meanwhile you have one of the fairweather ass fans right here pretty much applauding the shit. Gruden is gone and never did shit for this franchise, deal with it.

Gruden brought a Super Bowl to Tampa. Without him we would have never won, and I think that is pretty much fact... now beyond '03 it's a different story.
The blackouts don't offend me personally. I know that a lot of people are hurting for money, and the Bucs had gotten help from the Glazers for years to avoid blackouts before last season. Big deal. I am going to a few away Bucs games, but can't make it the CITS this year... The Bucs will carry on.Comment

That's going to happen to professional sports teams in Florida, especially Tampa. Too many retirees from other states with other sporting interest or none at all.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Raheem is ambitious, I'll give him that. But, don't think he wasn't in the Glazers ear lobbying for this gig before Gruden was even fired. Why do you think Gruden's firing came out of nowhere?
Those fucks and Raheem will never have my support. What should be more telling than anything else is the turnout. Just goes to show you how much of an impact Gruden had on the area and organization. He is still big here in Tampa. He is out and about all the time. I'm at peace with him being fired. Not really pissed anymore. Now, I just take pleasure in seeing the Glazers and Raheem fail. That's why I don't comment all that much on the team. However, seeing this article made me crack a smile because I know it is killing the Glazers right now.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

That's another thing that plagues these teams. Too many people like to say "it's a shame no one goes to watch that team, they are really talented." Yet those same people would likely not change their allegiance if they were to move to Tampa. I think a lot of people believe that the people that live down here are natives. They're not!!! I'm one of the few Floridians that I know. Most everyone else is a transplant.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

Cool story but GTFOH with that Gruden did more with less BS. Raheem did just that last season and managed to snag a franchise QB in pretty much no time, something that "offensive guru" couldnt do in nearly a decade. You blame Raheem for landing a head coaching job? Has to be the most retarded shit Ive ever heard. I have no idea if its any validity in him "being in the glazers ear" while Gru was still our head coach and I honestly dont care. If he took care of his business on the field he wouldnt have had anything to worry about.
You dont think us missing the playoffs in 08 had anything to do with it? We were 9-3 and only had to win 1 game up until week 17 to solidify a spot and we completely shit the bed. We went from having a stanglehold on the #1 seed to struggling to get a wildcard spot to being home in January. Gruden has no one to blame but himself. Did the Glazers suddenly shit on Gruden in 14 weeks into the season and prevent him from getting a W? Monte announcing his resignation is a weak excuse.
I understand your displeasure with the management but show some support for the players representing the team instead of being happy about poor fan turnout. Its ridiculous for someone who claims to be a season ticket holder for 20+ years.

Gruden did nothing with his own team. Offensive Guru routinelyt fielding one of the weakest offenses in the league. The only constant was our defense which was a credit to Monte and previous regimes. Im grateful for the SB victory but it doesn change the fact that that defense was tailor made for a championship which had nothing to do with Gruden. Our offense was average at best that season and didnt do much aside from a few playoff games.
This is nothing new yet we had no problem selling out games when we had a ATG caliber defense. That shit is just a weak excuse for fairweather fans not getting up off their ass and supporting new faces. The Gruden era is over, the Brooks/Sapp/Lynch/Barber era is over, get over it.
2. Gruden beat his old team in the Super Bowl, he knew everything about the team we beat and without his knowledge the game could have gone significantly different.
3. Dungy's a great guy and a real inspiring figure but the Bucs needed someone who would put some enthusiasm and urgency into their mindset. Gruden was exactly what the team needed.Comment

@BigBucs
I will let you tell Derrick Brooks that Monte's resignation is not a viable excuse. Derrick has publicly stated that after Monte announced he was leaving. It was "completely different," according to Derrick. Monte mentally checked out according to Brooks. But I will let you tell a future HOF LB that he doesn't know what he is talking about.
When it comes to Raheem, you should put the pieces together. Raheem goes to Denver for an interview. A few days later, Gruden is fired and Raheem is hired almost immediately.
Just remember who announced that Morris fired Jagodzinski before even local and national outlets had it. I don't need to prove what I know. If you don't want to believe what I have to say, that's fine. But, look at my track record and you should see some credibility. So when I tell you that what Raheem did was dirty and the Glaziers as well...you should at least consider it. If you don't want to, that's your choice.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008
