Welcome to the Powder Puff League Boys

At least there are still guys out there like James Harrison, who sounds like a modern version of Mean Joe Greene. Not that I'm really giving an opinion either way, but that story on Harrison was crazy.

Hitting is apart of football. Like Mike Golic said it "Your taught to separate the ball from the receiver."

The Lingerie League(on MTV2), doesn't penalize for helmet to helmet. Bitches be going at it...

The hit on DeSean Jackson was clean, IMO. I don't like the precedent this sets because it is going to be arbitrary which hits are deemed "devastating" and which aren't.

Dunta left his feet. That isn't clean. I am pretty sure that is the clear part of the rule where you leave your feet and launch yourself like a missile.

This isn't a big deal and despite what some of you may think, this is a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing a guy get knocked out as much as anyone, but let's be real here, these guys are getting seriously fucked up and the NFL has to do something about it or the heat will be turned up on them even more.

Some guys are deliberately head hunting out there and it's obvious (see Brandon Merriweather). Not to mention tackling is atrocious right now.

Anything that can minimize head trauma is a good thing. Big hits can and will still happen, this is just trying to minimize helmet to helmet big hits, which I totally understand. Guys need to start making a conscious effort to hit a little bit lower and/or lead with their shoulder pads.

They're not trying to take big hits out of the game, they're trying to take head shots out of the game. Obviously, this isn't going to completely get rid of head shots, but they need to make some sort of effort to reduce the amount of knockouts we are seeing each week.

Big hits are still going to happen. Helmet to helmet hits are still going to happen. Fact remains that they need to make the effort to reduce them.

Nothing wrong with actually emphasizing tackling, wrapping up and getting your guy on the ground......the tackling in the NFL is fucking atrocious......who tackles anymore, isn't that what you're supposed to do in football?.....it was RIP football a long ass time ago if you want to go down that road....and the guys who launch themselves with their head are pretty dumb if you ask me when you consider they're risking serious injury to themselves as well......the first thing they teach you in football is not to lead with your head....that's why dumb ass Bob Sanders can't stay on the field....you think the light would've gone off in his head by now

And don't get me wrong, I appreciate the big hit just as much as the next football fan....but there are ways to accomplish that without hitting a guy who's defenseless right in the head.....that wasn't fun watching what happened to Desean Jackson....

Lawrence Taylor used to deliver big hits without hitting a guy in the head....he seperated many a player from the ball just on the strength of a punishing tackle

To say it's RIP football because the league wants to protect these athletes who we all enjoy watching play this sport is off base IMO....

I seriously don't know what the fuck is wrong with some of you blood thirsty dudes......you enjoy seeing a guy get Jack Tatumed with the risk of getting fucked up for life

I definitely agree on the lack of form tackling. About half the players in the league just kind of throw themselves at the offensive player. I watch Delmas, who at least is decent at it, always just dive at guys rather than lowering the shoulder, wrapping up, and driving through.

Go back to the leather hats or better yet, make the helmets out of paper mache.

That way when a helmet splinters into a million pieces, you'll get an awesome reaction from the crowd...

"Here's a pass right down the middle... he's got iiiittttt.... OOOOHHHHHH!!!11 A DEVESTATING HIT! His helmet's just shattered in two... and there's... candy?

Wait, injury timeout called as the trainers are being to sent out to collect the Now and Laters off the field... we'll be right back after this message."
