New Mexico State: 1-6, beat 59-0, probably the 2nd worst team in CFB
Toledo: 5-3, beat 57-14
San Jose State: 1-7, beat 48-0

I have a question about the BCS. Why is it always the "computers" who get the heat?

Looking at the current Harris poll which makes up 1/3 of the vote, Oregon has 80% of the first place votes. How are 80% of the voters in agreement that Oregon is number one? There's a clear argument for Auburn, and a smaller argument for Boise.

Oregon has 85% of the first place votes in the USA Today poll. Which is also bs.

I think the people who participate in these polls could do a lot better of a job than they do currently. It'd help make things more fair for teams like Boise if 80%+ of the voters didn't just hand Oregon the #1 spot for no reason. It'll be on these human voters to make sure they don't help dick Boise over at the end of the season by letting a 1 loss team slide into the NC.

There really isn't an argument for Auburn to be ahead of Boise and Oregon in the human polls. The preseason polls had Boise and Oregon wayyyyyyy ahead of Auburn before the season started. Boise and Oregon are both still unbeaten so there is NO reason in the world for Auburn to jump them. If Auburn goes to Tuscaloosa and wins then let's talk.

That's the way it works. Also Auburn was lucky to get by Arkansas. Didn't Ryan Mallet get hurt late in that game? If he doesn't, Arkansas wins that IMO.

Right. Because Auburn scored only 65 points, so if Arkansas had Mallet they would have won the game 66-65. Also, Tyler Wilson came in and only threw for 332 yards and 4 TDs, so the obvious reason Arkansas lost is because of the poor play from the QB position, NOT the defense that gave up 65 points. And, as you said, Auburn was lucky to score 65 points.

With regards to the conference this year:
The Big 12 is a much deeper conference. The middle and bottom don't absolutely blow outside of Kansas. The middle and bottom of the Big 10 is truly pathetic.

Who is the best team in the Big 12, iyo? This should be fun.

How are you reaching this conclusion? Where are the facts to back up your claim? Boise would be at least #2 in the human polls (Bama will not jump them in the human polls). Boise would most likely be at least #3 in the computer polls. So Bama would have to be #1 in the computer polls ahead of Oregon to be in the running. Crazy! Not happening!

In 2008, Utah posted a record of 13–0 on their way to winning the MWC Championship, and they were the only undefeated team in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Same scenario is unfolding this year. Utah/TCU/Boise State - one or two of those teams WILL finish undefeated.. and if Alabama, Oregon, or Auburn run the table from today on.. they will all get in over them.

For a Boise State, TCU, or Utah to have a prayer.. they need all these unbeatens from the so called major conferences to have something in the "L" column.. or once again, they will be left out in the cold.. because the powers that run college football are fucking retarded and refuse to have a playoff like EVERY sport already does - high school, collegiate or professional
