If you take every QB in the league playing today, and list what they can bring to a team right now instead of what they did in the past, I think you have a hard time arguing that he is not a top 5 QB. Does that show the lack of QB talent in the league right now? I don't know, maybe.

If he's overrated, then obviously someone has to have him highly rated. You can argue Dallas fans over rate him, and that might be true. But it's the same way Giants fans over rate Eli, Packer fans over rate Rodgers, and Charger fans over rate Rivers. I haven't read any national columnists or talk show host putting him up there with Manning and Brady. I think he's right where he should be, somewhere before, between, or just after Rivers and Rodgers. Romo's problem is his lasting impression is fumbling a snap and losing to the Seahawks. Fair or not, that's one of the first things Romo haters think of.

FYI - I purposely left Big Ben out of the discussion. I understand he's a 2 time SB winner and has all the physical tools, but I think Ben is far away from being a guy I'd want leading my NFL team.

This was my assumption too. Clearly we have no idea about anything involving football. Who would have thought receivers are supposed to catch the football when it hits them in the hands?

There is a difference between a ball hitting a WR squarely in the hands and one that is overthrown and hits their fingertips as they are fully outstretched. If Eli gets either of those passes down to where they should have been they would not have resulted in interceptions.

edit: maybe you can make an argument for the 2nd interception but Eli was already playing with fire when he threw the last pass into double coverage. It was only a matter of time till he was picked off again.

Most of Eli's pick were the result of high throws......you can argue that you'd like his receivers to hold on to them since they get their hands on it, but he'd help his cause greatly by being more accurate

Later on in the game, after Romo was knocked out, Sensabaugh had a clear killshot on Eli, just like the one Boley had. He let up well before Eli got rid of the ball and was overheard saying "I'm not about to get fined".

If that doesn't perfectly describe who's at fault for this mess, I don't know what does.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo told Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com Wednesday that his broken left collarbone is completely healthy. Romo missed the last 10 games of the season with the injury.

"I wish the season would start today," Romo said during a brief chat during the Mavericks-Lakers game Wednesday. "I feel good." Romo refused to comment on any other subject including the hiring of former offensive coordinator Jason Garrett as the permanent head coach, replacing Wade Phillips. Romo was with his fiancee Candice Crawford and told Watkins the couple as yet have not made wedding plans.
