Just remembered it today looking at Madden. Anyone think it's coming true. I mean, they did lose to the Browns...(though they did have God Hillis).
Madden Curse?

I'm not sure anymore. I read a great article on the rate of injuries after career best seasons and it's easy to see it's not a curse, many times athletes just go down, and quite often it's after a career best year.
Here's another article on the subject.
Originally published in 2007, we've just updated this feature - on why there's no such thing as the "Madden Curse" - to reflect some of the game's more contemporary "victims".
The question I have is how bad does ones season have to be to be considered cursed? Should it be a shipwreck of a football season or is it enough to say having a few bad games is a curse?sigpicComment

It was a bad game. Everyone has them. Drew isn't hurt. The Browns played the game like it was the big one. Pulled out all the stops. All sorts of trick plays and what not. The Browns D did a great job, but a lot of blame can be placed on the O line. Unlike last season the Saints O started off hot. They haven't hit full speed in terms of production, but I'm sure it will all come together soon. Unless Drew actually does get hurt. Then the Saints season would be officially over
