Nah, Jeff George played on some decent teams. Cutler never has.
Jay Cutler = Jeff George ?

I'm tired of the camera cutting to Lovie making that dumb stare every game. Ah, I still cant believe he didn't throw the challenge flag.

Seriously. Two weeks ago, Kuzzy and Nuk were talking about how the Bears were going to make the playoffs. I said the Bears could finish 4-12, that 4-1 means nothing, and the Bears were winning because of their defense and Devin Hester, not because of Cutler.
I actually think they're going to actually finish last in their division.
Cutler and Martz just aren't a very good mix, especially when you factor in things like the Bears' oline. I don't mean this as a slight towards Martz at all either.Comment

No, he didn't. George once led the NFL in passing yards for an awful 4-12 Raiders team and had a 29-9 TD/INT ratio.
George was/is better than Cutler. A much better arm and deep ball. George's problem was he had too much confidence. I can't figure out if Cutler's problem is too much confidence, too little confidence, or apathy.Comment

I had this team pegged at 5-6 wins before the year and until the get an offensive line that can block and some decent WR's I'm sticking to that.
They got lucky agaisnt Detroit.
They played well against Dallas.
Played decent agaisnt Green Bay but Green Bay also beat themselves as well.
Carolina is awful.
If Lovie challenges against Washington they win that game IMO.
This team is compeltely dysfunctional. Martz system is in hell right now. He's operating an offense with a terrible offensive line, overall bad WR's, and a QB who has a history of brain cramps. Ironically enough when this offense has looked the best is when Jay has been in 3-5 step drops and getting rid of the ball quickly like he was against Dallas and Washington late in the 2nd and early in the 3rd quarters. Hub Arkush brought up a good point on WSCR the other day about how Martz system is all about WR's getting to spots and the ball coming out and the WR's are supposed to be there or on their way there. He was saying that based on the film Cutler is holding the ball because the uys either aren't there or are running the wrong routes many times. I can't say I'm surprised though. Knox is young and Hester is an idiot. Ealr Bennet isn't that good. DA is in the dog house and Greg Olsen is "meh" at this point.
IMO if Martz starts to mix that stuff in the offense will look better because it eliminates the deep drops the reads and routes the WR's have to make and run, and gives Cutler easier decisions to make. You could then mix in more 5-7 step drops and still run the system.
The non use of Chester Taylor is puzzling as well.
This entire organization is in bad shape. Lovie is an awful coach. JA is an awful GM. and it kind of just trickles down through the entire thing.
At least the defense has been good this season I guess.....Comment

We've been through this many times, and it's simple: Kyle Orton is nothing better than a .500 quarterback, if that. You didn't upgrade the position, until Orton does something Cutler hasn't, and that's win a fucking playoff game. So, at 2-5, your links aren't worth clicking on.
I told you Denver wouldn't win more than 8 games... I guess that makes me a ''very wise poster.'' When in fact, it's not all that difficult predicting what Kyle Orton isn't capable of doing. Even a Raiders fan can do it.Comment

Orton's numbers are inflated because he throws the ball 50 times a game. I know what you're going to say, "but look at his completion percentage!" Half his balls are dumpoffs, half are medium, and he'll hit a deep bomb once or twice a game when the score is way out of reach (see Baltimore and Oakland).
He couldn't do shit against Baltimore. His statline was saved by the two late meaningless bombs to Lloyd. He looked like shit against Jets, and he looked like shit against Oakland.
His 3 best games have come against Seattle (29th vs. the pass), Jacksonville (26th vs. the pass, and a loss by the way) and Tennessee (23rd vs the pass).
Orton's stats are being saved by meaningless bombs in losing efforts and piss poor competition. The guy isn't doing shit to win ball games.Comment

You can link as many links as you want - those links will only prove one thing, buddy - Kyle Orton is just as much of a loser, as Jay Cutler.Comment
