I was sitting in my living room and the reaction was funny enough. Can't imagine the reaction in the stadium.

Pretty much dead on though, the NFL has been so obsessed with parity that the level of play is going down. Team's are so mediocre, I remember when the Lions started 6-2 a few years ago, that's when I almost gave up on the NFL. That team was nowhere near good enough to win four games even, but the rest of the competition sucked that bad.

No reason to pay a ridiculous amount of money to watch it.

Usually, as long as you don't include any smilies, caps or curses...you'll get something back.

That sucks. I was planning on sending my last billing statement along with the ROLLEYES smilie.

NFL Sunday Ticket is a scam.

A great little money maker for sports bars (although, I know you own a few yourself)...for even the most hardcore of fans, its a giant waste of funds that you don't come close to actually having the product = the money you spent.

NFL Red Zone Channel + local or national games + the internet is all you need, even if you are a hardcore fan.

I watch far less NFL now than I did a few years ago. The product just sucks.

I think it's just a bad year for football. If you look at the college ranks, we're probably on our way to a 1 or 2 loss champion. The NFL figures to have at least one 9-7 team in each league make the playoffs.

Just a lot of mediocre mediocrity right now.
AFC West's guaranteed an 8-8 Champion.

                  NFC West? 6-10.

My dad has had the NFL Sunday ticket through DirecTV for about 12 years. Because of the Detroit Lions blackouts, we use an address of a relative that lives in the Upper Peninsula, because up there the Green Bay Packers are the main draw. So, we have not missed a Lions game in over a decade. Every year, there is a fight over the bill. Because we only use DirecTV for the Sunday Ticket, we do not use DirecTV the rest of the year. Each year, they change the rules and we have to be grandfathered in to a new program. The price is getting ridiculous too. They also might have the worst costumer service around, just terrible to work with.

Have had it for a good 4 or 5 years. They need to make it so you can just pick your favorite team and get all their games instead of forcing you to pay for every game.

I love NFL Sunday Ticket, but I agree it is overpriced. Although if you break it down to what you would spend at a bar every week following your team.. you're basically paying the same amount.

Everybody knew that going into yesterday that the slate of games was going to be downright awful, and it sure didn't disappoint. I would dare someone to pick a non week 17 Sunday in the history of football, that compared to the shitty matchups of yesterday's slate. It's not possible.

                            Here's who didn't play:

                            Falcons 5-2
                            Giants 5-2
                            Bears 4-3
                            Eagles 4-3
                            Ravens 5-2
                            Browns 2-5

Arguably, 4 of the best teams in the NFC didn't play yesterday. Some of the matchups were flat out atrocious too.

So the way I look at yesterday, it was a good day to stay away from football and go outside. I highly doubt we will see another week as bad as the past one. Here's some intriguing matchups to look forward to next Sunday:

                            Dolphins @ Baltimore
                            Indy @ Philadelphia
New England @ Cleveland off a bye
                            Chiefs @ Raiders
