For how lazy he may or may not be, since he joined the Vikings our deep passing game was given a lot more respect by defences and that opened up room for others. The difference in this team with Moss as the deep threat as opposed to Bernard Berrian was unbelievable.

With our schedule turning softer from here on in, and a division title still to play for this move is nothing but retarded. Salvaging this season has gone from a serious long shot to an unimaginable scenario.
This guy gets it. Chilly is done. You don't do this. Wasted a 3rd round pick. So, ok, the guy gives up and has a mouth. The Vikings should know this from a. his history in the league and b. him being on their fucking team once before. The Vikings O was brutal before Moss, Harvin and Berrian couldn't catch a cold. With Moss and teams respecting the deep threat, the underneath guys definitely were more active.

I think the main reason that Moss was cut is that Childress absolutely hates/despises the Patriots and Bellichick. He brought up the signal stealing and seems to have some underlying hate of them. Seeing Moss butter up Bill and the Pats probably rubbed him all kinds of wrong and he cut him.

The other thing I'm wondering is if Rice is getting close to coming back. The Vikings were a different team with Sidney Rice and if he can come back and get them rolling again, who knows. As for now, I think Childress and the circus that is the Vikings are going to have a long season ahead of them.

Leslie Frazier has been interviewed a million times. If he was a viable HC candidate, I would think somebody would have hired him by now.

Nothing would surprise me with the Vikings this year. They are imploding from from the front office to the practice squad.

Leslie Frazer is the token black guy interview du jour, but i think we might actually see him go Singletary and get the team midseason and stick around longer than that.

maybe one more awful game, and it happens... i really dont see Chilly lasting the season. and i also think its safe to say favre is D-O-N-E DONE...

How so? He played on two broken bones in his ankle and played great, all while Harvin went off gimpy for a while and Moss giving no effort. His offensive line was also getting owned and Favre was hit several times. I was pretty damn impressed with his performance and when he gets Sidney Rice back, it could be an entirely different scenario. None of that game was any fault of Favre's.

Oh, so, Brett only played in one game this year? He hasn't turned the ball over more than a dozen times (fumbles/ints)? I swear that was him with 3 turnovers against GB. Oops, my mistake.

I know you love the guy, but he's been pretty bad this year. And he's a distraction in the locker room and hurting the teams chemistry. Childress started losing the team the day Brett signed.

Their offense was TERRIBLE until Moss got there. Moss may not be giving his best effort, but he's still getting doubled, and that has opened Harvin up. So unless Rice is back and ready to roll, I don't see how this helps that team.

Not to mention the many levels of mismanagement by Childress from a personnel standpoint.
The mistake wasn't waiving Moss, the mistake was trading for him in the first place. You can't have a guy half assing it on the field and being a cancer to the teams chemistry. Once Moss made those comments at his press conference, you really don't have much choice.

Rodgers is one bad game away from Favre (and Drew Brees) in the INT department this year and had 2 INT's in the game against the Vikings. It's not like he is in the running for MVP or anything.

It's reaching to say that Childress lost the locker room the day Favre signed when they went to the conference championship game last season. Childress lost the locker room by not shoring up the O-line that let them down in the playoffs and by allowing Sidney Rice to try and rehab the injury he got in the championship game instead of making him have surgery in February so that he could be back for the regular season.

Who was talking about Rodgers? And Packers 5-3, Vikings 2-5.

Childress started losing the Locker Room during the season last year with his spats with Favre. He completely lost it when Brett defied him in the NFCC game. Childress called a wildcat play when Minny was called for 12 men in the huddle. Childress wanted to run the ball for a few yards and attempt a Longwell field goal. Brett wasn't even suppose to be on the field. BF and Chile had words on the sideline before the play. Brett defied Chile and went back on the field. 12 men in the huddle. Penalty. No field goal. Next play, Brett throws the int.

I don't care who you are, you don't defy your coach like that. After that, there was no getting the Locker Room back.

I didn't make this stuff up. I read this from an article quoting Chile while he was doing a Sports Radio Show during the off season.

OK, we will disagree. Moss was going to be a cancer to the team. You don't want anything fracturing the locker room and you don't want his attitude to flow over onto team mates.

I didn't say the players didn't want BF. I said Childress lost the Locker Room and Brett was the catalyst.

We agree on this. I think he hung himself when Minny brought in Favre. The team improved every year with him as coach, up till this year. Chile losing the LR is one of the things that has really hurt Minny.

With all the injuries, GB started the season very slow. They still may struggle the rest of year, but the guys in the locker room have hung together and stayed behind there coaching staff. 5-3 is looking pretty good for a team full of injured players.

Childress hasn’t had real job security since Favre’s been there. Even last year people were basically saying that the team was ready to go somewhere the coach wasn’t prepared to go. Childress is fully aware of this and is the reason why he’s so insecure about his place in the organization. Moss true to form said or did something that took a hit at Childress’ ability as a coach and he had to go. All last week it was plainly obvious there was a power struggle between Favre and Childress and whether he’d play or not. If the QB’s last name wasn’t Favre he’d be gone as well.
