    GTFO.
Holy jesus. How are you people misconstruing my words like this? All I said was that Oregon has faced a weak schedule this year. There's no way around that, their lone legimate competition was Stanford, and the only other team on thier schedule that is currently ranked is Arizona, who they play this week.

I said nothing about the Big Ten, shit I didn't even bring them up at all, nor did I say we were superior. That's all of you guys putting words in my mouth.

Again... I've yet to bring up Ohio State or the Big Ten in this thread.

All I did was point out Oregon's weak schedule. I said nothing about Ohio State or any other Big Ten team having a good one. Did you not grasp that the first two times?

            Ah.

Well...Oregon has played two good teams and proved both times that they are the #1 team in the nation. They shouldn't have to prove it six times.

My point exactly. I still think Oregon St. has a good shot of knocking of Oregon at home. It's their bowl game.

No doubt, we have matured greatly and if there was a playoff, it'd be a tough team to play against. Even against Boise we spotted them 17 points and won the rest of the game in the toughest parts 33-13. If that isn't a statement of quick maturity and senior leadership, I don't know what is. Not to mention the fact that we are playing overall great football right now.

I agree, OSU always...ALWAYS seems to play a close one against their rival Ducks.

They played a great team in Stanford and a depleted USC squad who gave them a helluva game. Auburn has proven themselves against the likes of #5 LSU, #13 Arkansas, #17 South Carolina, and #21 Mississippi State (on the road), and has a road date at #11 Alabama as well as a rematch with South Carolina just to make it to the BCSNCG.

Oregon has a much stronger schedule than Boise and TCU just going purely based on conference opponents, but they played a weak non-con (Auburn has played a comparatively weak one), and don't have the conference strength to bulk up their schedule like Auburn. They should be #2 in the nation IMO, and I give Chip Kelly credit for all he's done keeping them undefeated, but I think Oregon is pretty overrated.

Yeah, the Pac 10 is way better than the ACC. Oregon is obviously really good, Stanford is really good, USC, and 'Zona can give anybody a game, and Oregon State is no slouch either.

The ACC is a wasteland of mediocre teams and shitty QB play.

lol at you thinking VT would be competitive in the Pac-10 and that they would beat USC, Arizona, AND Stanford.

                          obvious homer is obvious.

Doesn't matter who is favored. I'm pretty sure we were favored and lost against Boise and JMU, just proves that doesn't matter. Anything can happen. Maybe I'm a bit biased, but It's a reality, face it. We play a tougher schedule than TCU, but not by much. We lost 2 games to Boise, don't rule our young defense out, we are going to not only go, but win the Orange Bowl!

People are kind of ignoring that Oreogn ran the last 9 minutes off the clock They had possession of the ball for 9 fucking minutes. I believe that's their longest drive, all year.

no shit I'm gonna be biased, I know all this, I'm a HUGE college football fan, and personally LOVE watching the Pac-10. I watch a lot of games believe it or not. I know OSU is tough, as well as USC and Stanford and 'Zona. All good teams, I'm not taking that away from them. Our defense is playing a lot better now and it would be a good game nonetheless. Bring up the Boise and JMU loss all you want, but the fact that our leadership stepped up during the Boise game, held a senior meeting only after JMU and has this team on an 8-game winning streak says a lot. I would love to see us play a tougher schedule, believe me. I know so much more about VT football than you guys, all you know is we lost to Boise and JMU, nothing else. I know a lot more about Pac-10 football too, maybe not as much as you actual fans, but more than everybody else. BOOK IT!
