I had a feeling Boise would lost this one, but not in the fashion they did. Poor Brotzman and another season lost for the Broncos. Shocked Auburn pulled it out tonight, I was positive we were heading to a Oregon-TCU NCG. Still could if South Carolina plays spoiler.

If Boise won that game, they'd be considered stronger than TCU.

TCU beat a decent SDSU team by 5 points, while this would've been a 3 point victory over a good ranked team.

The only good thing about this is that if TCU loses, there's no team getting left in the cold at 12-0.

Oh wait. TCU plays New Mexico.

After Oregon and Auburn both won, I just wanted to see a TCU vs BSU rematch.

                You srs?

That bowl game last year was the most boring game I ever tried to watch. I say "tried" because I fell asleep!

No to a rematch. The non-AQs will continue to carry the stigma of being from a non-BCS conference until they win against BCS teams (preferably not from the Big East or ACC) in a BCS bowl. That's how they're going to start gaining the respect needed to maintain their position in the polls. Otherwise, we get the same thing we saw this year where a lot of people still consider BSU and TCU frauds because they haven't played anyone.

Boise State can play with anybody. They just ran into a team, at home, playing their National Championship game, that just so happened to be a Top 20 team in the country with some great offensive talent. I mean, the way they lost the game was laughable, but it doesn't take away from Boise's talent, IMO. It just knocks them out of the talk of the National Championship game, but it isn't like this team is a sham.

The kicker did not lose the game. It was clearly a team loss.

Boise was a 14 point favorite on the road, Peterson had a timeout left to use to try to ice the Nevada kicker at the end and didn't use it, the defense was gassed, and WERE OUTRUSHED 231 YARDS IN THE SECOND HALF.

GTFOOH with that PC bullshit lol.

:02 left...chip shot field goal in the middle of the field...you make that fucking kick...it is the only reason you have a scholarship (or, in the NFL, get paid). You make that shit and you go home. If you don't make it, you lost it for your team.

Get that PC junk out of here. "It was a team loss...blah blah"...you are a pussy and so is Kyle Brotzman.

You say that BS to the media so they have their quote, and you don't say it to the kid, as the kid should already know. But mano y mano, straight shooting, its the kid's fault they lost the game. The kid knows it was his fault, don't patronize him by saying "damn, if we tackles better in the 3rd Q, we woulda won this game!". Bullshit.

Huh? It's was a team loss. Yeah, the kicker fucked up, the game should have not been that close anyways. The defense didn't help out, Nevada kicked their ass in the second half.

as much as i hate to admit it, i agree with potatoes: one play doesnt win or lose a game for a team... /coachspeak

btw, even if Boise won, there wouldnt have been a TCU/Boise rematch, as since the PAC 10 champ is going to the Title game, the Rose bowl has to pick the highest ranked non-AQ... so TCU will likely play Wiscy (unless oregon loses the civil war game or wiscy gets fucked over by the BCS) and Boise will go to some shit bowl, since they didnt even win the WAC...
