So Don Treadwell is in at Miami, as of a few days ago. I think it's a good hire, he should get a chance and Miami is a good place to get that chance. Also Miami (OH) related, it seems Mike Haywood has been fired from Pittsburgh after he was arrested on a domestic violence charge.Comment

Surprisingly (at least to me), Randy Edsall is in at Maryland. He became the favorite over the weekend. I thought he could possibly get a job bigger than Maryland, but I think it is one where he can find some success.
Otherwise, Pitt is back in the coaching search. David Brandon, Michigan's AD, will announce later this week his decision on the coaching situation.Comment

Looks like Texas is going to make a few splash hires today.
Rumor is that Paul Chryst and Bob Bostad (OC and OL coach at Wisconsin, respectively) will be hired to their same positions.
Also, Bo Davis (DL coach at Alabama) was in town yesterday and will likely take the same position at UT.
One that may be more of a stretch, but is continually being mentioned is Vic Fangio (Stanford's DC) taking the same position at Texas as well.
If all are true, Mack Brown just put together a fantastic staff.Comment

Texas needed to shake things up and those would all be good hires.
Big news is Michigan firing Rich Rodriguez. Now the search begins. I think Brady Hoke and a top notch staff are on the way.Comment

So with Harbaugh moving on to the 49ers, 3 vacancies right now. UConn has still not named a replacement for Edsall and there are a lot of candidates mentioned in consideration for the job. It might not be a bad spot for RichRod to land.Comment

Haven't updated in a while, just a few things to mention:
- Pitt hired Todd Graham, not Tom Bradley. Bill Blankenship, a former big time High School coach in Oklahoma, is Tulsa's replacement. He was on Tulsa's staff last year.
- Michigan got Brady Hoke and SDSU plugged in Rocky Long to replace Hoke. A good move, Long is a great defensive mind.
- UConn brought in Paul Pasqualoni, who was Dallas' interim Defensive Coordinator and d-line coach. A Connecticut native, it will be interesting to see how he does replacing Edsall.
- No job for Mike Leach, I expect he lands one next year.
No vacancies, this might be the end of the college coaching carousel.Comment
