Can someone explain to me how Del Rio is still employed? Every time I watch a Jags game this guy makes a bunch of horrible decisions.
Last week in the Titans game 4th quarter like 7 mins left Jax up two scores. 3rd and 3, Collins drops back gets sacked and fumbles the ball. Refs rule it an incomplete pass and mark it 4th and 8. Titans come out to punt. Despite the refs marking the ball at the wrong spot (since it was an incomplete pass it should have been 4th and 3) and despite the Titans punting anyway allowing Jax to run a ton of time off the clock, Del Rio challenges. He loses the challenge, refs fix their mistake and mark it 4th and 3, Titans no longer want to punt and go for it. Luckily for Jax Kerry Collins exists and completely misses the wr.
I was hoping the Titans would convert, score and make it a game, but Jax has been getting bailed out all season. Just like at the end of the Indy game where Del Rio tried to run the clock out and go to OT, but moron Caldwell called a TO and Jax eventually won on a 60 yard FG.
They've been winning on BS all year and have 0 wins over teams with winning records. Shits disgusting.
Injuries are the biggest reason for this, IMO. The Colts' injuries are well documented; the Titans lost Vince Young for the season, Kenny Britt for 6 weeks and maybe have one player (Jason Babin) who has been healthy the entire year on the defensive line and hasn't missed a game; and the Texans lost DeMeco Ryans for the season. Maybe a Jaguars fan can fill me in, but I don't know if they've suffered a huge injury like the other teams besides maybe David Garrard out for a game.
The teams are still immensely talented, but with the Colts' injuries, the Titans' quitting on their head coach and the Texans' inability to win close games and play pass defense unless they're playing Rusty Smith, the standings will reflect each team's flaws this season.
Aaron Kampan was having a great year for the Jaguars. He only had a few sacks but his QB pressures were a big help and freed up other pass rushers to get to the QB. We also lost Eben Britton who was our RT. He was doing a great job for us too but it looks like Jordan Black is filling in nicely for him.

yea, Kampan injury really hurt us. You could definitely feel his presense in the games in the beginning of the season!
Must win tonight...as long as Peyton can keep from throwing pick 6's I don't see the Titans having a chance. But the way things have gone lately, I'm sure the Titans will be in the game until the last 2 minutes and it will, yet again, be up to Peyton to try and win the game.
With the way the Tacks folded up Sunday, I don't see the Colts having much of a problem with them. Though, they folded up due to the run, and the Colts don't run, so I guess it's not a sure thing...
