I think the Browns are playing well more in spite of Mangini than because of him.

Holmgren has no ties to Eric Mangini, and if he can bring in a Jon Gruden type coach - you pull the trigger on that.

everything you see on the field and off with the browns is all mangini. period. he totally changed the team attitude. this team is mangini. i wasnt a fan of him last year and would have been fine with him getting fired. But even if they lose the remaining 4 games he is still the guy for this team. the browns have been in every game this year. they are very competitive and playing with a totally crap team.

i love jon gruden and as much as i would love to see him as our coach, i think mangini is perfect for us

God I hope they don't hire an up and coming coordinator or college coach. I feel as a fan we deserve a proven winner like Jon Grudon. Bowlen went cheap and hired McDaniels and almost lost a portion of the fan base, time to pony up and make things right.

Also, I'm sure Bowlen will hire a guy that likes Tebow and feels like he can make him the next Steve Young. The Tebow "brand" is too big of a marketing tool to lose right now.

But like I said... For the fans to be happy Bowlens going to have to hire a Big name/ Tebow loving head coach!

I highly doubt Tebow has that much pull within the organization. If he does than the organization has greater issues than McDaniels.

The truth is, if Randy Moss was never a Patriot then Josh McDaniels would never have even be considered for a HC job.

A Broncos player tells CBS 4 Denver's Vic Lombardi that now-former coach Josh McDaniels got into a confrontation with Champ Bailey and D.J. Williams on the practice field Monday.
It was McDaniels' final straw. The player called the argument "heated and contentious," and said it had to do with "wind sprints" the day after a game. Williams and McDaniels had a checkered history, as the former coach stripped the veteran linebacker of his captaincy following Williams' arrest in mid-November. Several Broncos players were outwardly supportive of the move to fire McDaniels on Monday. "McD" probably should've waited for a playoff berth or two before pretending to be Bill Belichick.
