Smart offered DC position at Fla

Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart is being offered the same position at Florida along Will Muschamp.

Both are former UGA players, the Cocktail Party should be interesting for the next few years.

At least both of them are just as clueless as the current UGA staff/players on how to win in Jacksonville,

I haven't read anywhere saying either way, but I wouldn't be so sure. He may want to get out from under Saban.

Short-term this would be great for UGA and help a lot with the remaining defensive targets that Bama is also pursuing. Maybe even get ILB Shannon Brown to de-commit from the Tide and re-consider Athens,

why wouldnt they build in a "no-compete" clause into his contract??? i hope he goes to UF now since Bama was dumb enough to not include that...

          I (possibly) stand corrected:
One of ESPN’s twitter accounts, ESPN_MobileCFB, posted a few minutes ago that Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart “is reportedly to leave for same job at Florida.” We can’t find any official confirmation, but according to TideSports.com (The Tucsaloosa News), the job has been offered. According to The Tuscaloosa News, Smart and Muschamp have been in discussions about the job in recent days. Read more here. And stay tuned.

Wow, what a science experiment. What do you get when you combine two Saban lackeys?

Does it equal a full Saban? We shall see, but I doubt it.
