I rather see the Jaguars take Brandon Harris if the draft played out like that. I really like Mincey, and an offseason for Lane, Morgan and Hart could make them good DE's, plus I expect Kampman to make a full recovery. Rashean is out of his prime, and we need to get younger across from Cox. If we got Harris we would have 3 of our 4 members of our secondary decided. Cox and Harris at corner and Greene at SS, then we would just have to find a FS. CB, FS, LB (if Morrison and Durant become FA's) are our biggest needs going into this offseason, I hope we don't go DE so early even though I like Kerrigan.
I'll just say what I said on the last one, I just don't see the Ravens taking a CB in the first. Getting Foxworth back, I think we can win with him, Wilson, Carr, and Webb. I personally think the team needs to get a MLB to replace Ray or a DE early on. I'd say either of those is more pressing a need than CB. If Ray retires, Ravens have absolutely nothing behind him inside, all the guys we have there are terrible.
Id almost stake my life that Luck doesn't fall past #1 if he comes out. Either Carolina takes him or trades the pick. I'd be shocked if he fell past #1.
Packers will take a CB but I doubt it will be in round one. Should be early though. I suspect first round will be a OLB to place opposite Matthews. Could also be a OT. I would put CB behind those two needs. Would love to see us get a shifty speed back as well. But knowing TT we'll just continue to roll with Ryan Grant, James Starks, Twinkle Toes Jackson, and 2 yards and Fall Down Nance.
Your Bears pick makes too much sense, we've been begging them to draft OL for the past however many years. We'll end up taking a cornerback that doesn't pan out to be anything more than a nickel like always.
I think Luck should go #1 but will the Panthers be willing to fork up the money for him?
I'm thinking they will trade the pick to build elsewhere and give Clausen a couple more years. Or they could trade Clausen, of course, but his stock is nowhere near what they want it to be.
