Lanteri loves to shit all over Uconn. Give them a break. The game was closer for longer than anyone ever expected. Considering Uconn doesn't have a decent quarterback or a WR who can catch a fucking ball, they did alright. Uconn hasn't played an offense that was anywhere near as talented as Oklahoma's all year. They haven't played a defense that was as fast or as good as Oklahoma's was all year. Oklahoma had over a month to study Uconn. Uconn can only study so much on Oklahoma and their no huddle, spread offense. There was no way to imitate it during practice.

      Keep on hating though.

It is obvious that there needs to be a playoff but Uconn's performance in the bowl game didn't make it anymore obvious.

LOL at all the Moral Victory cries from the newfound UConn fans. (You know the ones that can't even tell you what conference UConn was in before moving up to the Big East.) So what if they kept it "close"? They got blown the fuck out, for their 5th loss of the year. They had no business in that game. But hey, at least they got paid 13 million for it, I guess.

Trick question, they were independent before joining the Big East.

Im not saying he's a fit there, but Rick Stockstill at MTSU has turned the program from one of the worst in college football to a perennial bowl contender. They've beaten teams like Maryland, Memphis, Minnesota, Vandy during his short time here. I wonder why he doesnt get mentioned in some of these coaching searches. His defensive coordinator bolted for the same job Miss. St. Rick had offers for the ECU and Memphis jobs last year but those arent much of step up from Middle.

Stop. Didn't we go over this after Uconn beat WVU? This is a first for the program and I'll take any moral victory that I can.

Basically what I am saying is, suck it.

Also, I believe Uconn lost money during this bowl or at the very least broke even. They weren't able to even come close to selling all the tickets (probably because Uconn doesn't have a solid following and the fact that it was 2000+ miles away).

No shit, but that's not what I asked you. They don't have conferences in FCS?

and if the Big East is like the SEC then all bowl money is split evenly between all member schools.

Kentucky always gets a cut of that check when LSU, Flawda, and Bama are winning the chip.

From what I understand, the SEC actually pays the representative two shares, and everyone else gets a millie.

So basically - 13 mill goes into the pot, 2 mill goes to the representative team, and 1 mill goes to the other 11 schools.

Luckily, we always have two entrants into the BCS so there's double the shares for everyone, either way.

Atlantic 10 when they were D1-AA. Used to play against schools like Umass and Rhode Island
