top 5 who u would hire

whats funny to me is the local radio guys in cleveland and callers around here seem to think that out of all possible coaches that Cowher is #1 and Holmgren is #2

if u owned a nfl team and you could choose any active coaching candidate for your team, who would your top 5 choices be and why

I only have 3 choices and they are all because i like there style. I love gruden and cowher personality too. belechick is 3rd cause he is a douche for releasing bernie kosar

rob ryan? idk if he would make a good coach, but his defense pretty much sucked this year. the run dee was terrible and he is the guy whose coaching allowed eric wright to get burned and burned and burned and burned again. The pass dee actually got better when wright got hurt

Mike Martz, the most successful head coach in the history of the NFL to never receive a second chance.

There will be teams that pay these big name guys a lot of money and see little return, but someone will steal Martz or Mike Sherman on the cheap and win.

                          1. Bill Belichick - best coach in NFL history. I don't care how many people say Lombardi or Walsh are better coaches. Belichick has done more with less and still owns one of the greatest SB upsets of all time.

                          2. Mike Tomlin - pragmatic (unlike other coaches, he didn't change D philosophy of team just because it differed from his, he let LeBeau keep running the Steelers' D), relates well to the players (since he's likely cooler than most of them), Super Bowl winner.

                          3. Andy Reid - superb at personnel decisions, consistent winner his entire career.

                          4. Sean Payton - Super Bowl winner, superb offensive mind.

                          5. Tom Coughlin - I'm giving him a mulligan for the late slipup this season. He's still a great NFL head coach and the Giants would be insane to let him go.

You said active coaches, so there you go.
