Ireland though is coming off like a scumbag here with the treatment of Sparano (not firing him before negotiating with his successor).

The dude hasn't even replied to comment other than saying "he was told."

now you are trolling other forums. LOL I find it hilarious how worked up you are getting over this. Honestly, I wouldn't give a shit less if you posted anything Giants related.

Why does Miami always go crazy for these college coaches? Anyone remember Nick Saban? Everyone thought he was going to be the next great NFL coach and everyone wanted him. We all know how that one turned out now.

This has fail written all over it. At least they will sell more tickets.

Huizenga hired Saban, this is a new owner who was no where in the picture during that hire.

My feeling is that Ross has a boner for Harbaugh because he is a former Michigan guy, and Ross is one of Michigan's largest boosters. Ross even ran it by Michigan's AD before going after Harbaugh so as to not make waves there.

I wonder if now that Luck has decided to return to college next year will change Harbaugh's decision?

Now that Luck has announced he's returning to Stanford Harbaugh needs to go back to Stanford and push for a Championship. Of course with desperate NFL teams throwing ridiculous money at him that probably won't happen.

This kid is fucking dumb. I can't believe another player has not learned from the Matt Leinart situation. If it's assured you are going to be the #1 ...YOU LEAVE! You can't get any higher than that. If you end up not being good, that's OK so long as you try your best (i.e. no Jamarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf shit).

I'm all for college kids staying and getting their education and maturity, but if you are damn near guaranteed to be the #1 pick...it's overwhelmingly agreed by NFL brass you have what it takes. Things can only go bad from there by staying in college 1 more year.

EDIT: as for the CBA influencing this, if you are the #1 pick you are going to get the most $$ possible as the #1 pick regardless as to whether there is a rookie salary cap implemented or not. If he stays another year, a rookie salary cap is added, and he drops in the draft like Leinart, or Aaron Rodgers, or Drew Brees (yeah, those 2 didn't stay an extra year, but they dropped), he'll cost himself tens of millions of guaranteed cash.

Matt Leinart was selected what? Tenth I think? Still a boat load of cash. Things didn't work out for Leinart, because, lets face it, he wasn't very good. But he still got his money, while spending an extra year partying it up at USC.

Luck is going back to college to get his degree, and go after a championship. You're fucking dense if you blame him for that.

Hard to say that with any definitiveness. I remember when Brian Brohm of Louisville was a supposed #1 overall pick, but he went back to school, flopped, and got selected in like the 5th round by GB.

you know, you can collect a guaranteed $60 million at the #1 pick and get your degree at the same time ;)

Ricky Williams is currently in college taking pre-med this whole past season, and he averaged over 4ypc when he actually got a chance to run the ball.

No lie...I work with a person who has a chemical engineering degree from Stanford, you would never know it.

There's a difference between getting the full college experience, and graduating with your peers; and going back in your late twenties for summer classes.
