    Really? Never would have guessed.

If that's all you think I meant by having a college experience, then I feel bad for you.

Now I haven't played in the NFL, but I imagine life changes when you're doing this for a paycheck and most of your teammates are much older than you and have very separate lives off the field.

What other "good times"/college experiences does a D1 starting QB at Stanford in a tough major have?

      I'm actually kind of curious...

Was your entire college experience spent staring down the barrel of a vagina? Stop being such a fucking idiot.

Credit to the kid for doing what's important to him.

If he doesn't need the money, go get that degree. The NFL will be there in 2012.

            Fuck, I wish man...haha

I'm just curious what other "good times" you eluded to are....

Dudes not living in the dorms or hanging out with people all the time...Doubt he's got time for a hilarious flippy cup game on a Tuesday night. I'd imagine he's probably practicing, lifting, watching tape, traveling, playing and studying a great majority of his time.

I'm not trying to start an argument, just trying to understand the benefits of this decision.

I'm not personally friends with any players here at SC, but my roommate is and they go out and do stuff all the time just like regular students. Hell, they get treated to all kinds of shit as a team and do stuff all around LA.

The Bay Area is fantastic with tons of things to do. If you think Luck doesn't have time now, it will only be diminished more once he enters the league.

LOL at you no life having mother fuckers (who never played any major D-1 sport in college) criticizing this kid for doing what he and his family thinks is best for him... his dad made a shit ton of money practicing law in germany, being the GM of two NFL europe teams (where he later became the league president), and then pretty much running everything sports related in Houston since 2001... obviously the money doesnt matter to Andrew Luck, and just because you guys are throwing hissy fits about it doesnt mean you are right... in the end, its his decision, so stfu about it...

LOL at this. When I was in school, the basketball players would be out at the bars every night they didn't have a game. You make it sound as if these athletes are indentured servants.

                            What a moron.

This plan worked out REAL well for Leinart.

FedEx227, meet Peyton Manning and Sam Bradford. Sam Bradford and Peyton Manning, meet FedEx227.

Without reading much of the thread, I say it is a dumb decision if he wants to be a high draft pick. Recently all the QBs projected top 10 after their junior years and stay to be seniors have fallen in the draft. And usually the "hot" junior gets drafted ahead of them.

                                Leinart falling to Vince Young

                                Quinn falling to Jamarcus Russell

I know Luck isn't a junior but usually when you are that high of a pick when you are first eligible to be drafted, you get heavily scrutinized if you don't have amazing seasons. Cutler, Sam Bradford, and Tim Tebow have been the only senior QBs to go first round in the past 5 years I believe.

I don't really know much about the class of QBs next year, but if one of them has a great year, Luck kind of falters under a new coach, he could very easily drop hard in the draft.

And to the people that say he doesn't care about money because his family is rich, don't you think he wants to get out there and make his own money instead of living off of dad's paycheck?
