But financially speaking, this could be the dumbest move of his life.
I understand the image of a future #1 overall QB in California is that of a playboy, but Luck doesn't come across as a guy who goes around banging chicks. I just don't get that Matt Leinart vibe from him. He seems like the kind of guy who likes to go for walks in the park and watch movies while he cuddles with his girlfriend and family dog.

I'm still missing the part where this is a stupid decision. Because he's deciding to do what he wants and is living life the way he wants?

Wealth obviously isn't of that much importance to him. What's wrong with that? Maybe he just wants to finish getting his degree or win a National Championship or just enjoy being in a wonderful atmosphere that Standford has.

Why does Luck have to learn from Leinart? Because he's not getting millions of dollars right now? If he's as good as he's projected to be, it won't matter. It's not like Luck automatically clinches the #1 spot in the draft just because we project him to go there.

The kid's 21. He only gets to gets to control his own fate for so long and he has that staying at Standford.

Yeah, he won't be making $50 million. Instead, maybe he only makes $20 million. I'm pretty sure that's enough to live on.

Luck is going to be making millions no matter what he does. Even if he never played in the NFL, the guy will have so many Stanford connections that he'll never have to worry about bills for a day in his life.

How anyone can not like this move and this kid is beyond me. Especially when all we hear about are kids dropping out of college, quarterbacks killing dogs, guys selling their bowl rings for tattoos, etc.

Good for Luck and good for Stanford. I am fully on the bandwagon and am thinking about getting season tix next season to see Luck's final season as a college quarterback.

Toby Gerhart and Andrew Luck are probably two of my favorite college athletes in recent memory. I hope Stanford can keep breeding these type of athletes without Harbaugh.

I think the best post in this thread is by packersfan. The kid is 16 years old or something and he is admiring Luck's decision while all you grown ass men and college kids are calling Luck an idiot for wanting to stay in school.
