    Maize's Mock Draft

So, I did this last year and I thought I would add to the numerous mocks members are already posting. This year is a crap shoot and there are some things I am very unsure about.

I will update the mock periodically, usually once every 7-10 days. So, without further rhetoric, here is my first:

    1. Carolina Panthers - Da'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson
    2. Denver Broncos - Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU
    3. Buffalo Bills - Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn
    4. Cincinnati Bengals - A.J. Green, WR, Georgia
    5. Arizona Cardinals - Robert Quinn, OLB, North Carolina
    6. Cleveland Browns - Marcell Dareus, DE, Alabama
    7. San Francisco 49ers - Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri
    8. Tennessee Titans - Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas
    9. Dallas Cowboys - Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska
    10. Washington Redskins - Cam Newton, QB, Auburn
    11. Houston Texans - Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Purdue
    12. Minnesota Vikings - J.J. Watt, DE, Wisconsin
    13. Detroit Lions - Janoris Jenkins, CB, Florida
    14. St. Louis Rams - Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State
    15. Miami Dolphins - Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama
    16. Jacksonville Jaguars - Brandon Harris, CB, Miami
    17. New England Patriots - Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M
    18. San Diego Chargers - Cameron Jordan, DE, Cal.
    19. New York Giants - Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA
    20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri
    21. Seattle Seahawks - Drake Nevis, DT, LSU
    22. Kansas City Chiefs - Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh
    23. Indianapolis Colts - Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State
    24. Philadelphia Eagles - Nate Solder, OT, Colorado
    25. Green Bay Packers - Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin
    26. New Orleans Saints - Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State
    27. New York Jets - Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State
    28. Baltimore Ravens - Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa
    29. Chicago Bears - Julio Jones, WR, Alabama
    30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Mike Pouncey, OG, Florida
    31. Atlanta Falcons - Stefan Wisniewski, C, Penn State
    32. New England Patriots - Allen Bailey, DE, Miami

I always like to hear everyone's comments, criticisms and questions.

    another god damn DE?

This is almost as bad as OOBL's Ravens 1st round prediction.

Give us Ras I Dowling for christ sakes.

I will thank every mock that has Gabe Carimi going to Green Bay.

EDIT: LOL @ Minnesota making another mistake on a Wisconsin DE early in the first round.

why would Pittsburgh take another center when we have a Pro Bowler for years to come already, and with Mike Pouncey still on the board?

Yes, Atlanta's pick and the Steelers are supposed to be swapped. I fixed it, Pouney to Pitt and Wisniewski to ATL.

And BMore, I didn't know what to do with the Ravens pick. I guess Dowling makes sense, something I need to think about.

I liek the Fairley pick but only if we go back to the 4-3 on a full time basis

I don't think the Eagles will go OT round one, Peters is Pro Bowl and Justice is solid. Defense is definitely a bigger need in my eyes.

Cam Newton in Shanahan's offense sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Another one falling for the fallacy of Dallas needing another corner.

The trenches on either side of the ball are a much higher priority.

Jaguars GM Gene Smith usually doesn't go after underclassmen

                            Different situations entirely.

Gholston was a weakside end in a 4 man front that they tried to convert into a 3-4 OLB, and it failed miserably, and he was also a workout warrior with a questionable motor.

Heyward is a perfect fit as a SSE in a 3-4 alignment, and he can also line up at every other position along the line, with no motor concerns at all. He's dominated since day 1.

Apparently you didn't see my updates... and regardless... saying that one of these DE's isn't an upgrade over Cory Redding is asinine. Not the biggest need, but still, BPA is the MO.
