I'll be honest, both things you mentioned didn't hold much in deciding weather this game was won or lost. I'd say more then 50% of coaches would have challenged the play simply because of the reward. If it's that close you almost have to challenge, especially if it's in the 1st half.

The timeout was stupid yes.. but what was the alternative? No timeout? Ok, and that would have done nothing as well. They were still going to face the same exact situation with about 6 less seconds which means nothing because the Jets burned like 20 seconds at the end and then called a TO with 3 seconds left.

Exactly, the Colts let the Jets take the time to figure out what they were going to do. The Colts weren't going to get the ball back with time left anyways, so taking that timeout was just dumb.
