I am perplexed by this move. Given how unbelievably conservative the Rams offense was this year, I dont really see what warranted this guy getting a coaching gig. I guess the Browns are going for boring.

Putin is to Medvedev as Holmgren is to Shurmur. Puppet master.

does holmgren really strike u guys as a controlling kind of guy? he isnt a dickhead. how would a coach be able to coach if he was always looking over his shoulder? holmgren isnt stupid and knows what that would be like.

talent dictates play style and unless they get some players, it wont matter who is coaching this team. i feel like we are still 3 years away from the playoffs at least. IF mccoy is the future, he wont be making plays for another 2 years minimum. they need at least 2 good WR and a back up to hillis

i still dont know whats up with Ryan. last i heard he was still the dee cord.

Don't like the hiring. I would have liked Mike Mularkey a whole lot more. He had a better resume to IMO.

It is perplexing based upon how the Rams offense was and how conservative it was but I guess this guy impressed in interviews. He likely will have input on the offense to be run but not run it, so that in itself may help the Browns. They do need an infusion of some good WR talent to help out McCoy so let's see if they can do that in the draft.
