what does profit sharing have to do with socialism ?
They make the money and choose to put it where they want as a league.
that's capitalism.
of course the new overtime and letting a below .500 team in the playoffs can be considered socialist and liberal....
they are a franchised corporation that only functions through profit. That is capitalism.Comment

No, actually it does. Socialism is a redistribution of wealth and resources based on a cooperative approach to management. In the NFL's case, there is a salary cap and revenue sharing. The league agrees to a lucrative TV contract and then splits the profits between all 32 NFL teams.
What Empire was saying with the Giants and Packers is correct. If the NFL was run like the MLB, then the teams from large media markets and deeper pockets would benefit greatly.
The NFL decided that the "sink or swim" attitude would only lead to a lack of parity and fairness in the league. When you look at baseball, teams like the Pirates have not been relevant for a while because they cannot compete financially with team in their own division, let alone the rest of the league.
Just because something is profitable doesn't mean that it is capitalist. Socialist countries still have private businesses and personal wealth. The difference is, the ceiling is closer to the floor.Comment

parity has nothing to do with fairness and selling something for profit has nothing to do with socialism on the capitalist scale that this American company runs. Profit sharing has nothing to do with parity or fairness.Comment

Freshman geometry can't help you here. Also, bolded section is poorly written.
Parity has EVERYTHING to do with fairness.
That's the first line of the article. Rams, just saying something doesn't make it true. You need to PROVE it.
freshman geometry ? youre the fools believing the high school logic of what you think socialism is. Poorly written ? I'll let you know when I'm turning a graded in ,when it actually matters. Here it doesnt.Comment

anyone who understands logic you stupid fuck ,knows that parity means everything is actually weaker. Parity is not everything being equally stronger.

I'm going to try and ignore your shitty attitude, because things will just get petty.Comment

That's because you can't bring everything up to the level of your strongest team. Like the saying goes, "You're only as strong as your weakest link". Therefore, leagues have to bring better teams back down to earth with salary caps and profit-sharing.

..now your making excuses for weakness being a good idea. Spoken like a true socialist leader lying to his followers hahaha.
parity is an excuse word that means everything sucksComment
