Adrian Peterson and maybe Darren McFadden beg to differ.

But I know what you're getting at.

Sanders is old, and Payton is a corpse, so you might want to reshuffle that draft board, Matt Millen.

If you don't think there are teams in the NFL that are in dire need of a running back you just haven't thought enough about each team. Redskins, Seahawks, and Lions all come to mind as teams with sub-par running backs. I can guarantee you each of those teams want better RBs in a bad way.

Dire is going a bit too far. The Lions need another running back, but it doesn't have to be an every down guy.

Roy Helu Jr. is going to be a really good player for an NFL team. He's sort of like Joseph Addai. Little faster, and a great all-around back. He shares Addai's injury tendency, but as long as he's healthy, he's fucking excellent.

I'm glad you mentioned Addai's injury tendancy. But you forgot to mention Addai's averageness at everything outside of pass catching.

CJ Spiller is a bust after once season? I mean, maybe if the Bills O-Line could it's ground, but still to early to say that Spiller is a bust.

Arguably the best blocking back in the league

                        Elite receiving Runningback

Average from a "Rushing" standpoint but everyone knows Indianapolis arguably has one of the worst starting offensive lines in football. it would be VERY interesting to see what Addai could do if he wasn't having to elude defenders 3 yards deep in the backfield on 85% of his carries.

Polian needs to re-sign the guy because Donald Brown doesn't look like he's going to be the next Edgerrin James.

So Goblin. You wouldn't take Gale Sayers in the first round of the draft?

As a Bills fan, we have a need for a physical RB seeing how Spiller and Jackson are more outside runners. I really have my eye on Daniel Thomas from Kansas State somewhere in the middle of the draft

In my opinion, you really shouldn't take running backs and wide recievers in the first round because their success is too dependent on other players on the field. Once you've solidified your offensive line and quarterbacks then these skill position players should be taken.
