Setting aside that you're telling me I said something that I never said, how does agreeing that three really good teams will be "in the mix" contradict my original point that this season has been compelling?

I think that its not compelling when ultimately the same teams make it to the playoffs and the same better teams advance to the finals. Thats all I'm saying. Sure, the regular season can be fun to watch. But, come playoff time, its the same old story. The Heat will be the only so called new team in the mix and they are pretty much Lakers East anyway haha. I say that because Riley is running the show so to speak.

Derrick Rose has made another leap and they added Boozer, so you can count Chicago as a "new" contender as well. They are certainly a threat to beat Miami in the playoffs. (Miami's record vs. good teams is rather pedestrian.)

OKC has a tough road ahead due to probably being matched with the Spurs in the 2nd round, but they are definitely some new blood which has burst onto the scene in the last year or so.

Lots of teams are getting better, very few are getting worse. As a fan I see that as a positive trend.

        NHL for me.
I'm a Montreal Canadiens' fan and the playoff races in the NHL are unreal since the last strike. Every game really matters in the regular season.
The NHL playoffs are a war.
As a Canadiens' fan, last year's playoffs were an unexpected bonus.
Hoping for the same, but better, this year.

After the NHL season is over, I just wait for the NFL to start again. Baseball is about as exciting as watching grass grow.

I like the NBA too, but I'm a Toronto Raptors' fan. Clearly there will be no playoff viewing there.

I just hope the NFL lockout doesn't happen.

I guess I should respond to my own thread.

I'll watch my NC State Wolfpack lose in the ACC tourney.
Get ready for baseball with my fantasy baseball draft (then be bored by May)
Definately watch March Maddness. The first two days of the tourney are my favorite. I went to a catholic HS and we use to sneak into the library and watch the games.
Ive been watching more NBA for some reason, I dont know why. But I'll watch the Bulls in the playoffs.

Although Im not a Phillies, just go to alot a games because my family lives down there, Im keeping my fingers crossed still for the season tickets. (really just want the playoff tickets to resell)

no its not. If the players dont come back, so what, theyll get scabs.

and dont give me the- we dont want to watch scabs shit- because those players are still better than anyone else in America.

I believe the NFL will not have a strike in its future though

Super 15 season kicking off soon... time for the usual Blues season of doing nothing for 7 weeks, before winning 7 of their last 8 games and finishing in 5th place, one spot out of the finals.
