Rice is testing the FA Market

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Sidney Rice will not re-sign with the Vikings before testing free agency.

The Vikings made an initial offer to Rice, but agent Drew Rosenhaus seems set on seeing what the market will bear for the 24-year-old playmaker. Knee and hip injuries have wrecked two of Rice's past three seasons, but talent alone will push him to the top of a free agent field that features Santonio Holmes, Santana Moss, Braylon Edwards, Malcom Floyd and Randy Moss.

Rice would be either the 5th or 6th best WR on the market depending on how you rank Santana Moss. He would be smart to take a good sized contract with Minnesota, especially after his injuries.

Bears will overpay..but given our current WR corps it might be worth it.

I'd have to differ on that. His injury situation is well documented but when healthy, he's pretty much the best WR on the market out of that group...at least IMO. He would probably also like to play for a team that has a more solidified situation at QB.

jut interesting o see where he plays, because when he is out there he is something else.

Indy and Peyton with Wayne (hes not getting any younger)
Arizona possibly McNabb and opposite of Fitz
          Detroit - Megatron
          Bears - would be interesting
          New England
Steelers/Packers (both have an aging WR in Ward/Driver)

I hear Atlanta is looking for a compliment to White

Just throwing options and ideas out there. Is it a long shot? Yes. But you never know. Wayne is getting older, Collie is two more concussions from his career being in jeporday.

The Seahawks could definitely be in play as Pete Carroll loves big WR's and Rice has familiarity with the offense.

Sid is clearly the best WR in FA. The Bears should overpay for him. Otherwise its another year of Jonny Knox not running a slant correctly leading to another 8 interceptions.

Seems like a likely Redskins target. I think the team will look to take one of the second tier WRs like Rice or Floyd and pair him with Julio Jones

Very much so. With the sorry state of the quarterback position as it is now, it would be great to have two receivers that can adjust mid-air and come down with balls in their general area.

Would be even better if Arizona gets Kevin Kolb.
